Electric-vehicle shoppers in the northern Klang Valley now have a closer place to browse, test drive and buy a BYD. BYD Rawang has opened as BE Group's third BYD outlet, putting the brand's electric line-up within easier reach of buyers in Rawang and the towns around it.
Quick facts
Contents
- BYD Rawang is BE Group's 3rd BYD outlet, after Setia Alam (2022) and Kota Kemuning (2024).
- 4,298 sq ft showroom on a 10,803 sq ft site, room for up to 5 cars.
- Customer lounge plus a dedicated delivery room for handovers.
- A gallery that sells local artists' work with no commission taken.
The showroom is operated by BE Autohaus under BE Group and sits within the BYD Sime Motors retail network, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia. It follows the group's first two outlets: BYD Setia Alam, which opened in November 2022, and BYD Kota Kemuning, which followed in September 2024.

What BYD Rawang offers
The outlet spans 4,298 square feet on a 10,803 square foot site, with light-coloured finishes and castle-inspired detailing drawn from European architecture. It can display up to five vehicles and includes a customer lounge and a dedicated delivery room, so handovers have their own space rather than sharing the sales floor. The cars on the floor are drawn from BYD's current Malaysian line-up.
The practical point for buyers is location. A branch in a fast-growing part of the northern Klang Valley means sales, test drives and after-sales support closer to home, rather than a drive into central Kuala Lumpur. BYD's retail presence has widened across the country this year, from the heritage-concept BYD showroom in Penang to the new BYD Sime Motors service centre in Miri. It tracks a broader shift, with EV ownership in Malaysia spreading beyond the Klang Valley and dealer coverage following the demand. Across the country, BYD Sime Motors now counts 45 sales and marketing outlets, 33 after-sales facilities and 16 body and paint centres.

A showroom with a gallery for local artists
BYD Rawang also sets aside space for emerging Malaysian artists. Selected artists will exhibit their work in the showroom for three months at a time, with the showcase refreshed every quarter. The pieces are available to buy, and the artists keep all of the proceeds, as no commission is charged. Submission details will be posted on BYD Rawang's own social media channels.

"By giving emerging local artists a platform to showcase and sell their work, we hope to support local talent while creating a distinctive experience for visitors," said Andrew Tay, Managing Director of BE Group.
2,250 cars delivered since 2022
BYD Rawang opened on 19 October 2026 with a launch open house that ran to 30 October. Since joining the BYD network in 2022, BE Group says it has delivered more than 2,250 vehicles to customers nationwide.
For EV buyers around Rawang, the opening is less about a new model and more about access: another showroom, service point and test-drive location without the trip into the city.
