Three Models, One ZEISS Telephoto Idea

The vivo X500 Pro Max pairs a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera with a 400mm-equivalent clip-on ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, the accessory we got hands-on with in our first look at the X500 Pro Max. It adds 30x Long-Range Motion Snapshot and a 7,800mAh battery behind a 6.85-inch 2K ZEISS display. The X500 Pro steps down to an 85mm-equivalent ZEISS APO telephoto on a 64MP Sony LYTIA 610 sensor and a 6,510mAh battery in a 6.36-inch body. The standard X500 keeps a 72mm-equivalent ZEISS telephoto, a 50MP main sensor and a 7,500mAh battery. All three charge at 90W wired and 40W wireless.

Built for Concert and Video Shooting

The use case vivo keeps returning to is live performance. The X500 Pro Max and X500 Pro run an X-Track Engine with Lock-On Subject Tracking that holds focus on a performer even when they are briefly blocked, plus 4K 120fps video tracking and Auto Framing Fancam Video. Stage Mode 3.0 adds dual-view and all-in-one stage recording. On the video side, the series shoots Cinematic Pro Log against a 17 EV dynamic range, which we pushed in our camera rig test of the X500 Pro Max. The Pro Max and Pro use the 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, the X500 the Dimensity 9600M, and every model ships on OriginOS 7, the first phones in Malaysia to do so, which we covered when OriginOS 7 landed here. The whole series carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance.

The series starts at RM4,699, and the first-sale promotion runs from 3 to 30 November with rewards vivo values at over RM3,400, while stocks last. The package includes vivo Buds Pro (RM199), exclusive rebates of RM200 to RM680 on the Pro and Pro Max, vivo Care benefits worth RM2,167 (a two-year warranty, one-year international cover and lens protection), and three months of Google AI Pro with 5TB of storage (RM293.97). Full details are on vivo Malaysia's official site. For a camera-led flagship, the first month is the cheapest window to pick one up, and if telephoto reach is the point, it is the Pro Max that the rest of the range is built to follow.
