Marshall is extending its Jimi Hendrix tribute with three new Hendrix 60th Anniversary Editions, applied to the Major V on-ear headphones, the Emberton III speaker and the Acton III speaker. Each piece carries a purple oil-on-water design and the all-seeing eye motif drawn from Hendrix's fascination with cosmic imagery and colour. In Malaysia, the range is handled by ASH Asia, the brand's official local distributor.

The launch continues a long relationship between the two names. "The story of Jimi and Marshall has always been personal to me because I first heard it from my dad, Al Hendrix," said Janie L. Hendrix, President and CEO of Authentic Hendrix. "Sixty years later, that connection between Jimi and Marshall still speaks to new generations of musicians who are pushing creative boundaries and searching for their own sound."
Hendrix Edition Major V
The Major V is Marshall's foldable on-ear headphone, and the anniversary version keeps the sleek black finish while adding psychedelic graphics. A purple oil-on-water pattern runs across the inner headband and ear cups, finished with the all-seeing eye. Marshall rates the standard Major V for days of playback on a single charge. Readers weighing the regular model can compare it in our coverage of the Marshall Major V headphones and Minor IV earbuds.
Hendrix Edition Emberton III
The Emberton III carries the same purple oil-on-water design across its sleeve and grille. The all-seeing eye appears in silver on the media jog alongside purple LEDs, and the silicone sleeve is hand-dipped using a water transfer print, so Marshall says each unit is unique. The speaker is rated for more than a full day of listening on a single charge.
Hendrix Edition Acton III
The Acton III takes a different route, coated in crushed velvet with a silver control panel, purple knobs and purple LED lights. The all-seeing eye is stamped in silver on the side. It is the most overtly styled of the three, drawing on Hendrix's love of velvet, silver jewellery and science fiction. The Acton III sits above the compact Emberton in Marshall's range, much like the Acton IV and Stanmore IV in the standard line-up.

A one-off collector amp stack
Alongside the three editions, Marshall has built a one-of-a-kind collector amp stack. It is made from plywood wrapped in black Tolex, with a black and purple psychedelic pattern across the fret and control panel and a purple LED indicator. Silver beading is woven through the knobs, handle, logo, grille and back panel, and the all-seeing eye badge sits on the top and bottom of the stack.
Malaysia availability
Marshall has not stated a ringgit price or an on-sale date for the Hendrix 60th Anniversary Editions in Malaysia. The range is distributed locally by ASH Asia, the exclusive distributor for the brand across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, so local pricing and availability will come through its retail partners. Full product details are on the official Marshall site. We will update this article once local pricing is confirmed.
