If you have been waiting for a portable speaker that does not look like every other black brick, CMF has two new options to weigh up. The CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M are now open for pre-order in Malaysia at RM259 and RM459, ahead of open sales on 3 November 2026.
These are the first portable speakers from CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing that has built its name on giving budget gadgets a bit of personality. Both carry the geometric, milk-carton-inspired look the brand is known for, and both come in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise.

CMF Speaker S and M: two speakers, two jobs
The Speaker S is the smaller, grab-and-go option. It has a built-in attachment point so you can clip it to a bag or a strap, runs a 45mm full-range driver with dual passive radiators, and puts out up to 10W. At RM259, it is pitched at music on the move rather than filling a room.
The Speaker M scales the same design up for more volume. It uses a dual-driver setup rated at 35W, split between a 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter, for deeper bass and clearer separation between vocals and instruments. An integrated handle makes it easier to move between a desk, a living room or an outdoor hangout. It sells for RM459.
Built for sharing
Both speakers can pair up for bigger sound. Stereo Mode links two identical units into a left-and-right pair, while Auracast-based Party Mode syncs playback across two or more compatible speakers, including supported models from other brands. There is also Adaptive Tuning, which adjusts the output as the music plays.
Through the Nothing X app, you can tune the sound further with Ultra Bass, Wide Soundstage and custom EQ. Connectivity covers Bluetooth 6.0, NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, plus dual-device connection and USB-C audio for a low-latency wired option. Both have physical buttons for playback and volume.

Durability comes from an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, and battery life is quoted at up to 18 hours at half volume with Ultra Bass on, with a 10-minute charge good for about an hour of playback. If you like to customise, the front panels and knobs are interchangeable, and CMF supports standardised 3D-printable designs.

How the price compares
CMF's pitch here is the same one it uses for its earbuds and watches: a recognisable design at a price that undercuts the usual names. For context, the Marshall Kilburn III sits at RM1,999 and the JBL Grip at RM599, so a RM259 starting point places CMF well below the portable speakers most Malaysians already know.

It also rounds off a busy few weeks for the brand locally. CMF only just brought its Clip Pro and Buds Neo earbuds to Malaysia from RM129, so the speakers extend that same budget-audio push into a new category.
Price and availability
- CMF Speaker S: RM259
- CMF Speaker M: RM459
Both come in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise. Pre-orders are open now, with official open sales starting on 3 November 2026. CMF lists availability through nothing.tech, the Nothing Image Store, TMT, Urban Republic and other authorised retailers, as well as Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
If the Speaker S and M deliver sound to match the look, CMF has a genuine budget pick in a category that usually asks for a lot more. Full specifications are on CMF's official site.
