If you have been shopping for an affordable tablet that still works away from WiFi, there is a new name to weigh up. NEXAL, an outdoor technology brand making its Malaysian debut, has launched the NEXAL Pad: an 11-inch tablet with built-in LTE that comes with a keyboard in the box, priced at RM1,099.
The brand arrived in Malaysia on 13 October with a compact lineup built around staying productive on the move, the NEXAL Pad, the NEXAL Earbuds and two smartwatches. The Pad is the headline act.

What the NEXAL Pad offers
The NEXAL Pad runs on a MediaTek Helio G200 chip with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its 11-inch screen carries a 2.5K resolution, and a 10,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging, so a flat tablet tops up quickly between tasks.
What sets it apart at this price is connectivity. Alongside WiFi, the Pad takes a SIM card for mobile data, so it can stay online on a commute or a trip without tethering to a phone. NEXAL bundles a keyboard, which turns the tablet into a light workstation, and includes a six-month membership to an AI productivity suite for notes, organising ideas and working across languages.
The Pad comes in Obsidian Grey and Aurora Green. Its RM1,099 price includes extras NEXAL values at up to RM359: the keyboard (RM299) and the six-month AI tools membership (RM60).
How it sits in the market
RM1,099 drops the NEXAL Pad into the busiest part of Malaysia's tablet shelf, where an included keyboard and LTE are the selling points rather than raw power. It sits close to the Infinix XPAD 20 Pro at RM999 and the RM799 TechLife Pad Plus 12-inch LTE, both chasing the same study-and-work-anywhere buyer. The category still matters here: our own reading of the numbers shows Malaysian tablet ownership peaked near one in three during the pandemic before settling.
NEXAL Earbuds and the rest of the range
Alongside the Pad are the NEXAL Earbuds at RM199, built around call clarity in noisy places. They use three voice features: a bone-vibration pickup that isolates the user's voice, a three-microphone hybrid noise reduction system with active noise cancellation, and a voice-enhancement layer. A 13mm driver with a graphene composite diaphragm handles music, and there is a transparency mode plus in-ear detection. At that price they line up against options like the RM159 soundcore R60i.
Completing the launch are two smartwatches already on sale, the NEXAL Watch Sport at RM599 and the NEXAL Watch at RM399.
Price and availability
The NEXAL Pad and NEXAL Earbuds go on sale in Malaysia on 13 October through NEXAL's official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, plus selected authorised retailers. The two watches are available now. Recommended retail prices are RM1,099 for the Pad, RM199 for the Earbuds, RM599 for the Watch Sport and RM399 for the Watch.
For a first outing, NEXAL is leaning on value over spec-sheet bragging. An LTE tablet with a keyboard and AI tools in the box for just over a thousand ringgit is an easy pitch for anyone who works between a desk and the road.
