There is no perfect smartphone that can accommodate the requirements of everyone. But at the same time, people are influenced by trends, fascinated with the new, and quite often impulsive too. So the best thing for a smart consumer like yourself is to identify one that has most if not all the features that you want, and is reasonably priced.
Since the launch of the iPhone X in November 2017, people have been reviewing its features (watch: iPhone X unboxing) and not to forget, comparing its price with other flagship smartphones. Here we will go through some of the key features of the iPhone X which starts from RM 5,149 in comparison with the OnePlus 5T, a premium Chinese smartphone that was also launched in the same month but starts from RM 2,099.
Face Recognition
One of the iPhone X’s new feature is the Face ID, the face recognition which requires the owner to look directly at the phone and swipe upwards – a 2-step process. The OnePlus 5T has this feature too, the Face Unlock, and it unlocks the phone more easily without requiring the swipe action.
There is also a fingerprint recognition detector at the back of the phone which allows the owner to unlock it in 0.2 seconds, an ideal function to unlock the phone as you pick it up. The OnePlus 5T wins the iPhone X in the face recognition aspect.
Appearance
Camera & Display
In terms of display, the iPhone uses OLED technology and has a better screen resolution of 1125 X 2436 pixels while the 5T uses Optic AMOLED with 1080 X 2160 pixels.
Battery and miscellaneous
The 5T still has the good old 3.5mm earphone jack so it is compatible with most earphones and headphones on the market.
