Dyson has started selling the Airstrait dryer and straightener in a new Plum and Copper colourway in Malaysia, at RM2,599. It is on sale now at Dyson.my and Dyson stores. The same colourway is coming soon to Malaysia for the Supersonic Nural hair dryer and the Airwrap Co-anda2x multi-styler, but Dyson has not given a date or a price for either.

What Plum and Copper is
Dyson calls it a limited-edition colourway, inspired by a rare gemstone called kyawthuite, and describes the tones as red plum, peach copper and ash ginger. Nothing changes inside: the Airstrait is the same machine that straightens hair from wet to dry using air rather than hot plates. Dyson says it cuts styling time by an average of 25%, or up to 8 minutes a session. The campaign is fronted by Dyson's Asia Pacific ambassadors, Jang Won-young and Park Bo Gum.
Is the colour worth RM2,599?
Only if the colour is the point. The Airstrait's Malaysian price is RM2,599 in Plum and Copper, so this is a gift-box choice rather than a new product, and buyers who just want the straightener should compare the standard colours on Dyson.my before paying for the limited one. If you are waiting for the Supersonic Nural or Airwrap Co-anda2x in Plum and Copper, there is no Malaysian price yet to plan around.

The Supersonic Travel, at RM1,499, is 32% smaller and 25% lighter than the original Supersonic and switches voltage on its own abroad. The V10 Optic cordless vacuum, at RM2,499, has a lit cleaner head that shows dust on hard floors and 150 air watts of suction. The Clean+Wash Hygiene hard floor cleaner, at RM2,699, vacuums and washes in one pass, lies flat to 113mm and dries its roller at 85°C in the dock. Dyson says every order on Dyson.my ships free nationwide.
