Towels, school uniforms, work shirts and the occasional bedsheet: in most Malaysian homes the laundry basket refills faster than anyone empties it. Samsung's answer, in the fourth episode of its Home at Heart series, is a 25kg Bespoke AI washer paired with a heat pump dryer that takes its instructions from the washer, so fewer loads need you to pick a setting at all.

What the Samsung Bespoke AI washer decides for you
The washer is the Bespoke AI Front-load Washer SmartThings (model WF90F25ADSFQ). Its AI Wash+ mode reads each load and sets the water, detergent and rinse time to match. AI Ecobubble then adjusts the bubbles, wash time, temperature and spin speed according to the fabric it detects. Samsung ties that to what it calls Zero Fabric Damage, aimed at loads that mix delicates or outdoor wear in with everyday T-shirts and jeans.
An AI Dial on the machine learns the settings you use most, and an Auto Open Door lets humid air out of the drum once a cycle ends.
Built for bedding days
The 25kg drum is the headline number. Samsung says it takes a king-size comforter, and a dedicated Bedding Cycle senses whether a blanket is thin or thick before setting the wash time and water use. For a family that usually splits sheets, towels and a duvet across three loads, that is the difference between one wash and a whole afternoon.

The washer tells the dryer what to do
The part that changes the routine is the hand-off. Once both machines are linked in the SmartThings app, Auto Cycle Link passes the wash settings to the Bespoke AI Dryer Hybrid Heat Pump, which then chooses a suitable drying course on its own. The dryer has its own Bedding Cycle that reads how much moisture is left in a blanket, so a thin one finishes sooner and a thick one is not pulled out damp.
Delay End in the same app lets you time a wash to finish close to when you get home, instead of leaving clothes sitting in a wet drum all day. SmartThings Clothing Care adds personalised recommendations on top.
Up to 20% less energy, on some cycles
Rainy afternoons that cancel outdoor drying keep washers and dryers busy in Malaysian homes, so running cost matters. Samsung's figure for AI Energy Mode is a saving of up to 20%, and it applies to selected wash and dry cycles rather than every load. SmartThings Energy shows your monthly consumption against the previous month and alerts you when you are on course to pass a target you set.

Laundry machines themselves have been getting slightly cheaper: in our reading of DOSM figures, the price index for major laundry appliances fell 0.9% between September 2023 and September 2026, while repair, installation and hire costs rose 4.3%.
Samsung Bespoke AI washer and dryer price in Malaysia
On Samsung Malaysia's online store on 5 November 2026:
- Bespoke AI Front-load Washer SmartThings, 25kg: RM5,699 (listed at RM6,999)
- Bespoke AI Dryer Hybrid Heat Pump, 17kg: RM7,399 (listed at RM8,359)

Together that is RM13,098 at the current store prices. Samsung did not state an end date for these prices.
This is the latest in a series that has already covered Samsung's Bespoke AI fridge and its 70% humidity crisper and the WindFree Pro air conditioner's energy claims. For laundry, the useful part is less the AI label than the link between the two machines: one decision at the washer, and the dryer follows it.
