Marshall has added a new Brown colourway to its Emberton III portable speaker, and this one comes with a detail the others do not: a matching carry strap. Marshall says the fastening strap is unique to the Brown finish, making it the only Emberton III version you can sling over a shoulder or clip to a bag without buying an accessory.
What is new here
The hardware underneath is the familiar Emberton III. The change is the finish, a warmer, earthy brown that Marshall is pitching as a more lifestyle-led look than its usual black, and the strap that ships with it. Everything else that defines the speaker carries over.

Marshall lists 360-degree sound through its True Stereophonic tuning, more than 32 hours of playtime on a charge, and an IP67 rating, meaning the speaker is sealed against dust and can survive being submerged in water for a short period. Those are the numbers that matter for a speaker sold on being taken outside: enough battery for a full weekend, and a body that shrugs off sand, spray and rain.
The Brown colourway was announced from Kuala Lumpur on 28 September 2026. Marshall has not published a Malaysian price or on-sale date for the Brown version yet.
Where it sits
The Emberton line is Marshall's mid-size portable, above its pocket speakers and below the larger Middleton and home models. If you want the fuller Marshall range, the brand recently expanded its lineup with three Hendrix 60th Anniversary audio editions in Malaysia. For home listening rather than a speaker you carry, rivals such as the Sonos Beam Ultra soundbar and personal-audio picks like the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 5 Wireless cover the other ends of the range.
For now, the Brown Emberton III is a colour-and-strap update rather than a new speaker, aimed squarely at buyers who want the Marshall look in something they can carry to the beach and back.
