Hyundai Motor Malaysia launched the new STARGAZER in Malaysia today, a seven-seat MPV that opens at RM99,800 and is pitched squarely at families weighing up the Perodua Alza, Toyota Veloz and Mitsubishi Xpander. The line-up runs to three variants, and the headline is not just the entry price but a resale-value guarantee the brand says is currently unmatched in its class.
Hyundai calls it the WEhicle. "It was engineered around what modern families value most, smart space, accessible premium comfort, and uncompromised safety," said Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Malaysia.

Three variants, from RM99,800 to RM121,800
The STARGAZER Style starts the range at RM99,800 with a seven-seat 2+3+2 layout, LED headlamps with H-signature daytime running lights, an 8-inch multimedia player, a 4.2-inch colour instrument cluster and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The STARGAZER Prime, at RM109,800, adds dual 10.25-inch displays, six airbags and Hyundai SmartSense ADAS 2.0, the driver-assistance suite that covers Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Following Assist.
The STARGAZER X tops the range at RM121,800 and swaps the seven-seat layout for a 2+2+2 captain-chair configuration for six. It brings SUV-inspired styling with sportier bumpers and a rear spoiler, black Hyundai emblems, black gloss alloy wheels, full leatherette seats, a floating centre console with a detachable tray and Shift-By-Wire transmission control.
Cabin built around how families actually use it
Across the range, Hyundai has leaned on practical touches rather than raw space: a cargo floor box with a lid, a seat-back table, multiple USB ports, roof-mounted rear air-conditioning vents, and, on selected variants, wireless charging and an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold. It is the same thinking that shaped the brand's earlier local push after Hyundai set up its own Malaysian headquarters.
The early-bird package and a resale guarantee
Hyundai is offering an Early Bird Value Package at RM4,600 during the launch period. It includes an eight-year or 160,000km myHyundaiCare warranty, eight times or four years of free service, an RM88 booking fee, and an RM1,000 All-Star Reward rebate for existing Hyundai owners who buy a STARGAZER.
The part worth reading twice is the STARGAZER Resale Value Protection programme, which guarantees a set resale value when owners upgrade to a new Hyundai: 70 percent in the third year up to 60,000km, 60 percent in the fourth year up to 80,000km, and 50 percent in the fifth year up to 100,000km. Guaranteed residuals are common on premium marques but rare in the budget MPV segment, and it follows the aggressive value pitch we saw during Hyundai Malaysia's first-anniversary campaign. The STARGAZER first appeared locally when bookings opened at KLIMS 2026.
