If a car is on your year-end list, two of Malaysia's biggest online marketplaces are now showing the same dealer deals. Mudah.my and Carousell Malaysia have launched Jimat Tak Habis-Habis, their first joint automotive campaign, with more than 7,000 eligible dealer cars at discounts of up to 45% from 2 November to 18 December 2026. The catch is in the small print: "up to" means the top discount, not the typical one, and every offer is set by the individual dealer.

Why December is when the deals land
Year-end is the busiest stretch of the Malaysian car market. According to the Malaysian Automotive Association's 2025 market review, December 2025 set the highest monthly total on record at 90,716 vehicles, up from the previous record of 81,735 in December 2024. Dealers clear stock before the new year, and promotions pile up.
What changes this year is where you can compare those offers. The same participating dealer listings appear on both Mudah.my and Carousell Malaysia, so you can shortlist on whichever app you already use rather than visiting showrooms first. Mudah.my, which belongs to the Carousell Group, says it has also grown its car listings by 10% to more than 90,000.
The petrol prize and the dealer extras
Anyone who buys a dealer-listed car through either platform during the campaign stands a chance to win one of 40 petrol vouchers worth RM3,000 each, subject to the campaign terms. With petrol now sold at three different RON95 prices in Malaysia, a year of fuel is a prize most drivers can put a number on.
On top of that, participating dealers are offering free warranties of up to eight years, cash vouchers and selected free services such as window tinting, servicing and car inspections. These vary by dealer and by car, so check what a specific listing includes before you commit.
How to use it without overpaying
A big headline discount only helps if the starting price was fair. Use the price comparison first, then the warranty, and only then the discount figure.
