For Malaysians who would rather subscribe to a fridge, washer or air purifier than pay for one upfront, LG has made that route easier to reach. LG Electronics Malaysia has opened its 130th LG Subscribe Brand Store, and the company says the network is now the largest of its kind in the country by store count.

A 130th store, and a national milestone
The latest outlet opened at Sunway Pyramid on 25 June 2026. LG describes it as the most extensive branded home appliance subscription footprint in Malaysia. The idea behind LG Subscribe is straightforward: instead of buying an appliance outright, a household signs up for a plan and pays over time, with servicing and maintenance bundled into the arrangement rather than billed separately.

How LG Subscribe grew to 130 stores
LG Subscribe started locally in 2019 with a single kiosk. Six years on, it spans 130 stores: 58 locations in Central Malaysia, 29 in the Northern region, 23 in the Southern region, 15 in East Malaysia and five along the East Coast. That spread is the part LG is leaning on, because a subscription only works if customers can find a store to sign up, ask questions and arrange repairs without long trips. Managing director Justin Choi framed the model around making home appliance ownership more flexible and accessible for Malaysian families.
Why the subscription model is catching on
Appliance subscription and rental plans have grown into a practical way to reach higher-end products without paying the full price at once. For renters, young families and anyone who moves house often, spreading the cost and handing off servicing can be easier than committing to an outright purchase. The trade-off is the familiar one: convenience and bundled maintenance in exchange for ongoing monthly payments rather than a single bill. A wider store network gives shoppers more chances to compare those plans in person before deciding.
What else launched at Sunway Pyramid
Alongside the opening, LG introduced its Filter Drop Campaign, which it connects to making sustainable living solutions easier for households to adopt. Product directors Hobin Jun and Hojin Jung joined Justin Choi to unveil it at the event.
The takeaway
For anyone weighing whether to buy or subscribe an appliance, the expansion changes one thing in particular: there are now 130 places nationwide to walk in, see the range, and start or service a plan close to home. Pricing and plan terms vary by product, so LG Subscribe stores remain the place to check the current options.
