Step back into sophistication with the AURALEE x New Balance 1906R collaboration, the latest creation featuring a blend of active functionality and warm elegance. This project reimagines the iconic New Balance 1906R running shoe silhouette, infusing it with the timeless charm of AURALEE's FW23 collection.
In 2009, New Balance introduced the 1906R, a tribute to the year of its founding. Fast forward to 2022, the 1906R was reintroduced with a high-spec sole, combining shock absorption, resilience, and comfort for daily wear.
The design boasts a TPU heel support and an innovative N lock system, elevating the saddle area’s support; and the sole incorporates ABZORB, a shock-absorbing material, and N-ergy cushioning, making sure that you strike a perfect balance between style and comfort and at the same time honouring the aesthetics of 2000s running shoe technology.
In this collaboration, AURALEE's artistic touch transforms the 1906R:
- An upper featuring premium nubuck and washed suede
- Wax treated, vintage effected outsole
Of course, AURALEE’s signature use of one-tone colours adds depth, with lime green lining and a yellow sole enhancing the beige colourway.
The blue variant, on the other hand, showcases a delicate grey-tone gradient, resulting in a mesmerising transparent finish. Additionally, the collaboration offers the flexibility of choice with optional shoelaces, allowing wearers to personalise their style. You can also get a custom shoe box, adding more flairs to that personalised touch.
The new AURALEE x New Balance 1906R collaboration will be available worldwide starting October 11, 2023; and in Malaysia exclusively, the beige colourway will be accessible on their website and at New Balance’s Pavilion KL outlet, priced at RM709.
