Xiaomi Announces the new Xiaomi 13 Series in Collaboration with Leica

Xiaomi has recently announced the latest Xiaomi 13 Series. Available in Malaysia on March 8, the Xiaomi 13 series will be bringing users a brand new photography experience through its collaboration with Leica.

The Xiaomi 13 has a stylish flat screen design with flat edges and a 2.5D curved back design that makes it comfortable to hold and carry around. With a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio and 1.61 ultra-thin bezels and chin, the smartphone is capable of delivering an amazing viewing experience. The sizeable 6.36” FHD+AMOLED screen on the Xiaomi 13 makes sure that content is presented with excellent colour accuracy and brightness. And with the E6 AMOLED material, it consumes less power. 

The Xiaomi 13 Pro, on the other hand, has a 3D-curved ceramic body that makes the transition to the camera mode smooth. This smartphone has a 6.73” screen and a 120Hz WQHD+ AMOLED display, making the content much bigger than it originally was. It can also produce 1200 nits of full-screen brightness and 1900 nits of peak brightness with the help of the E6 material that can be found on the Xiaomi 13. 

Both the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform that is capable of delivering enhanced graphics and it will improve GPU performance by 42% and power efficiency by 49%. As a result, this will prolong the battery life of the two smartphones. Alongside the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the Xiaomi Surge battery management that guarantees a longer service life and upgraded experience. The Xiaomi 13 has a 4500 mAh battery that can last an entire day, but the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 4820 mAh battery that will be fully charged in 19 minutes with its 120W HyperCharge. 

The smartphones come equipped with the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Mobile Connectivity System that offers Wi-Fi 7 support. The Xiaomi 13 has Dual Band Simulations and Multi-Link operations that can achieve network rates of up to 3.6Gbps. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13 Pro comes built-in with High Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link technology that enables numerous simultaneous 5Ghz and 6GHz connections, achieving ultra-high speeds of up to 5.8Gbps and reduced latency. 

To help you take the ideal image, the Xiaomi 13 offers detailed camera setting options. One of those options is the master-lens system, which offers a fantastic focal length and depth of field, making it ideal for taking portraits. Along with an optical amplification range of 0.6x to 3.2x, the Xiaomi has a 75mm telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13 Pro consists of a 23mm wide-angle main camera, an ultra-large 1-inch IMX989 sensor, a 14mm ultra-wide angle, and a 75mm floating telephoto camera.

Pricing And Availability

The Xiaomi 13 will come in three colours: Black, White, and Flora Green with a storage option of 12GB+256GB. Additionally, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is available in two colours; Ceramic Black and Ceramic White with two storage variants of 12GB+256GB and a limited edition package for the 12GB+512GB storage variant. 

Priced at RM 349 for the Xiaomi 13 and RM 4599 for the Xiaomi 13 Pro respectively, the limited edition of the Xiaomi 13 Pro costs RM 5999. 

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 13 will come with a free Xiaomi TV P1 43” valued at RM 199 while pre-orders for the Xiaomi 13 Pro will receive a free Xiaomi TV A2 58” valued at RM 2799. The limited edition 13 Pro will acquire a number of free Xiaomi accessories for those who pre-ordered it,
