In light of the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress) Barcelona 2023 happening this 26 February, latest reports suggest that SONY is looking to reveal new additions to their audio product portfolio later at the event. Whether or not they will unveil them is still unknown, but according to leaks shared by a tech tipster on Twitter, we'll be seeing new headphones and speakers from SONY that could feature Bluetooth 5.2 support.

In the Twitter thread, the tipster shared several pictures of new Sony products that could be revealed later. These include the WH-CH520 wireless headphone, and HT-AX7, SRS-XV500 and SRS-XB100 speakers that are different in size.

The WH-CH520 will be the successor to the WH-CH510. The upgraded entry-level wireless headphone looks like it will sport the same circular design for the earcups but with a padded cushion attached to the headband, a feature that's absent from the WH-CH510 headphone. Interestingly, tech website Appuals.com recently received exclusive renders of the Sony WH-CH520's colour variants and rumoured specifications. It will be available in four colour options: Black, White, Blue and Beige.

As for its specifications, it's reported that the WH-CH250 will feature Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), Bass Boost, and Sound Adjustment that can be tuned through Sony’s Headphones Connect app. It charges through a USB-C port, takes 3 hours for a full charge with up to 50 hours of music playback time, and supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Multipoint Connection.

The HT-AX7, SRS-XV500 and SRS-XB100 are Bluetooth speakers that are different in shape and size. The HT-AX7 "MagicBucket" speaker sports an unorthodox design that features a central control panel and buttons, with an elevated round section on each side.

The SRS-XV500 and SRS-XB100 speakers, on the other hand, equip a more familiar design with Sony's already established sound features. The SRS-XV500 is dubbed as a smaller version of the already-released SRS-XV900 speaker, while the mini SRS-XB100 premieres as the first in Sony's XB-range Bluetooth speakers with four colour options; White, Orange, Black and Teal.

The former is described as being suitable for parties and gatherings, while the latter is ideal for one's personal space.

As mentioned before, none of these Sony offerings has a confirmed release date yet, so these are all still rumours and speculations. As we near the MWC this 26 February, there's a chance that they might actually announce them, but who knows? These seem like a good selection of upgrades, especially for Sony's more affordable products.
