DJI just announced a new addition to their drone lineup, the DJI Mini 3, made compact and lightweight for the everyday social media content creator. With a 1/1.3-inch camera sensor that films 4K and shoots 12 MP photos with True Vertical Shooting, the 249g-drone is exempt from most drone regulations in several parts of the world.
Photography Taken To New Heights
The DJI MIni 3 records true-to-life videos in dazzling 4K/30fps in HDR, both in day and night. With the 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and f/1.7 aperture, the drone can shoot at a higher image resolution with a sharper depth of field and lower image noise in low light.
Plus, the dual native ISO and chip-level HDR technology help to create clearer images in less time. True Vertical Shooting also allows the drone to rotate the camera by up to 90 degrees, making for impressive content for social media.
With QuickShots, you can also make use of a suite of pre-programmed flight and filming paths to record stunning footage in both landscape and vertical shooting. Some of these pre-programmed paths include:
- Dronie: Drone flies back and up with the camera locked on the subject
- Helix: Drone spirals up the subject
- Rocket: Drone flies up with the camera facing down
- Circle: Aircraft circles around the subject
- Boomerang: Drone flies in an oval path, ascending as it goes further and descending as it comes closer to the subject.

Receive digital video transmission from up to 10km away with powerful anti-interference technology to deliver reliable connections throughout your flights. The Mini 3 can hover steadily and keep a stable image in strong wind conditions thanks to wind resistance at up to 10.7 m/s.
The DJI Mini 3 can provide a max flight time of up to 38 minutes with its standard Intelligent Flight Battery — up to 51 minutes with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus.
