Auto Framing
The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G doesn’t only have autofocus, but something even better - Auto Framing!
The Auto Framing feature allows you to take pictures or record people moving around without actually having to touch the camera at all. Yes, it can take steady, in-focus videos or pictures when you’re moving around, be it vlogging, capturing a raging party, or simply walking around in the park. It’s autofocus taken to a whole new level, leveraging on the Galaxy Fold3’s unique foldable design.
In Flex Mode, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G can be placed on a surface like a laptop. When it’s in the right position, the camera app engages Auto Framing automatically. This then allows you to shoot photos or videos hands-free while ensuring that all subjects remain in focus. Interestingly, the movement tracking feature can track up to 4 recognisable people within 3.5m trackable distance.

Capture View
On regular smartphones, you’d need to click through to the Gallery app to preview the pictures that you’d just taken. But on the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, you can preview up to 100 results to instantly share or delete your pictures!
The foldable phone’s dual screens allow you to see and do more at the same time, which means you can preview your photos while taking them without having to switch apps. Capture View Mode, which debuted with earlier generations of the Galaxy Z series, splits the camera app in half, displaying the camera preview on one panel and large thumbnail previews of your photos on the other.
The best thing? It activates automatically while the phone is in Flex Mode as well! If you need to access this mode when the phone is completely open, you can select it from the menu within the camera app.

Versatile Cover Screen
Sometimes it’s easy to forget that you don’t just get two screens on the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. In fact, you actually get three; the cover screen can also help you take superior photos!
When you’re taking photos for your friend, they can easily see what you can see on the cover screen as well, along with any filters, beauty effects, doodles or emojis that you want to add to the picture. This means that nobody has to keep running back and forth just to make sure everyone and everything is in the right position, because they can see it all.
Front cameras on smartphones are often not as good as their rear counterparts, simply because it’s hard to have dual, triple or quad-camera setups where the screen is supposed to go.
