Apple just announced its brand new AirPods called the AirPods Pro. The AirPods Pro is one of the latest lineups to Apple's audio peripherals. It's completely redesigned inside out from its software to hardware for greater enhancement to users' experience.
It is said that Apple’s new AirPods Pro offer Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, in-ear design with multiple tips, wireless charging case as well as water and sweat resistant.
The battery life for the AirPods Pro is also similar to the 2nd generation AirPods, except, with Active Noise Cancelling turned on, it provides only 4.5 hours of listening instead of 5 hours. However, both of the wireless charging cases on the AirPods and AirPods Pro offer up to 24 hours of battery life which is excellent.
These are the five significant changes that AirPods Pro have that the 2nd Generation AirPods with Wireless Charging doesn't:
- Active Noise Cancellation
The AirPods Pro is designed to block out exterior noises so you can focus on what you're listening. It consists of two microphones (inward-facing and outward-facing) to create superior noise cancellation.
- Audio Transparency Mode
Switch to Transparency Mode and you can achieve greater awareness when you're outdoors as you allow external sounds in, letting you hear and connect with your surroundings while music is still playing.
- IPX4 water and sweat resistance
No longer will you need to baby your 1st and 2nd Generation of AirPods under the rain or when you’re exercising; the AirPods Pro are water and sweat resistant with an IPX4 rating.
- Adaptive EQ
Apple says that the Adaptive EQ automatically tunes music to the shape of your ears for a rich, consistent listening experience that offers superior sound quality.
- In-ear design with 3 ear tips
While the 1st and 2nd Generation of AirPods non-in-ear design is mentioned as a "universal fit", Apple is calling this one "customizable fit."
That means the in-ear designed earphones will undoubtedly work for almost any ear size, thanks to the small, medium and large tips which will come with each order of the AirPods Pro. There's even a fitting software feature to test if you've picked the right size tips.
As the name implies, AirPods Pro is currently the most feature-rich AirPods to date. While it has only been released in the U.S. so far, it will soon be available in Malaysia at the price of RM1,099. If you love what you’ve read so far, the price is quite reasonable for everything that you're getting especially if you’re already an Apple user.
