Apple sells two desktop displays in Malaysia, and on its own store the height-adjustable stand and the nano-texture glass are higher-priced options, not part of the lowest figure. We read every number below straight from apple.com/my on 27 October 2026.
The clearest case is the newer one. The Studio Display XDR, which replaces the Pro Display XDR, lists from RM11,999. That lowest price is the configuration with a VESA mount adapter and no stand. The version with the tilt- and height-adjustable stand instead is RM13,499, RM1,500 more.
Contents
- The Studio Display XDR's lowest list price, RM11,999, is the VESA mount configuration, which does not include a stand.
- The version with the tilt- and height-adjustable stand is RM13,499, RM1,500 more than the VESA one.
- The cheaper Studio Display starts at RM6,499, and that base already includes a tilt-adjustable stand; the version with the tilt- and height-adjustable stand instead is RM7,999, again RM1,500 more.
- The nano-texture glass, which Apple says reduces reflectivity in bright rooms, is a further RM1,200 on either display (Studio Display RM7,699, Studio Display XDR RM13,199).
- Choosing both options on the Studio Display adds RM2,700, 42 per cent of its RM6,499 base, taking a fully optioned one to RM9,199.
So moving to the height-adjustable stand costs RM1,500 and the nano-texture glass RM1,200, and those differences are identical whether the display underneath lists at RM6,499 or RM11,999.

The prices, read from Apple's store
Every figure is a current list price read from apple.com/my on 27 October 2026, in ringgit. Apple shows a price for each complete configuration; the RM1,500 and RM1,200 amounts quoted above are the differences between those listed configurations, not a separate charge Apple prints.
| Studio Display configuration | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard glass, tilt-adjustable stand (base) | RM6,499 |
| Standard glass, VESA mount adapter (no stand) | RM6,499 |
| Nano-texture glass, tilt-adjustable stand | RM7,699 |
| Standard glass, tilt- and height-adjustable stand | RM7,999 |
| Nano-texture glass, tilt- and height-adjustable stand | RM9,199 |
| Studio Display XDR configuration | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard glass, VESA mount adapter (no stand, lowest price) | RM11,999 |
| Nano-texture glass, VESA mount adapter | RM13,199 |
| Standard glass, tilt- and height-adjustable stand | RM13,499 |
| Nano-texture glass, tilt- and height-adjustable stand | RM14,699 |
On the Studio Display the VESA mount adapter costs the same as the tilt-adjustable stand, RM6,499, so choosing it does not lower the price, it leaves you without a stand. On the Studio Display XDR the VESA configuration is the lowest-priced one, and the stand version costs more.
How this compares with Apple's other Malaysian prices
The RM1,500 difference the height-adjustable stand makes is a sum on its own. For comparison, the Mac mini, Apple's small desktop, starts at RM3,799 on the same store read the same day, so the stand difference is about two-fifths of that whole computer, and the RM2,700 of options on the Studio Display is more than two-thirds of it.
We have read two of Apple's other Malaysian price ladders the same way, straight from its store: how much the MacBook Pro's storage and memory upgrades cost, and how much it charges to move up the iPhone's storage tiers. On each of those, as on these two displays, the cheapest listed version is the entry configuration and the better-specified ones cost more.
The limits of this reading
These are current store list prices read from apple.com/my on 27 October 2026, in ringgit. They are prices on sale that day, not launch prices, and Apple can change them. Apple describes the Studio Display XDR as coming with a tilt- and height-adjustable stand; the point here is narrower and about price, that the lowest figure Apple advertises for it, RM11,999, is the VESA mount configuration without a stand, and the stand version is RM13,499. The RM6,499 Studio Display base already includes a tilt-adjustable stand, so the RM1,500 figure is the step up to the height-adjustable stand, not the price of a stand where there was none. The RM1,500 and RM1,200 amounts are differences between configurations Apple lists on the same page, each with its own ringgit price; we computed the differences, Apple does not print them as separate charges. The "maxed" figures (RM9,199 and RM14,699) are the configurations that pair the nano-texture glass with the height-adjustable stand. We make no claim about Apple's own costs, about what a stand or glass is worth, or about what comparable parts sell for elsewhere, only what the Malaysian store charges. The Mac mini price is its current From price on the same store, read the same day.
How to reproduce this
Open apple.com/my and go to the Studio Display and Studio Display XDR buy pages. Each page's Glass and Stand sections list every configuration with the exact ringgit figure, and the price updates as you change them. Subtract the base figure from a configuration's figure to get the amounts above. Every display price in this piece comes straight from those two pages; the RM1,500 and RM1,200 are the differences between configurations on them, which we computed, and the RM3,799 Mac mini figure is its From price on its own page on the same store, read the same day.
