iQOO 16 Starts at RM3,660 in China, But It's Not on iQOO Malaysia's Site Yet

Our pages have begun appearing for Malaysian searches about the iQOO 16, a phone that is not yet on iQOO's Malaysian site. In the week of 4 to 10 October, the week after iQOO revealed its new flagship in China, our own Google Search Console recorded our pages appearing in Malaysian results for the iQOO 16 more than 350 times, against zero in the week before (27 September to 3 October). These are impressions, the number of times our pages were shown, not searches, people or buyers, and they track interest in our own coverage rather than the whole Malaysian market. The largest single group, 186 of them, came from queries for some form of "iQOO 16 price in Malaysia".

Here is the catch. As we write this on 14 October, iQOO's own Malaysian website still features phones like the Z11 and the iQOO 15R. There is no iQOO 16 product page and no local price for it on iQOO's own Malaysian site.

Bar chart: iQOO 16 China launch prices converted to ringgit, from RM3,662 for 12GB/256GB to RM5,188 for 16GB/1TB

The iQOO 16 prices available so far are China's, where iQOO unveiled the iQOO 16 in late September. Its recommended retail prices, reported from that launch and matching iQOO's China listings, run from 5,999 yuan for the 12GB and 256GB model to 8,499 yuan for 16GB with a terabyte of storage. Converted at RM0.6104 to the yuan, a mid-October 2026 rate, that is about RM3,662 for the base model, rising to RM5,188 for the top. Treat those ringgit figures as a rough guide only: a converted China price cannot predict a Malaysian one, which could reflect local taxes and however iQOO decides to position it here.

What the money buys, as listed from iQOO's China launch: Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 on a 2nm process, a 6.85-inch Samsung AMOLED display at 3,168 by 1,440 and up to 165Hz, an 8,400mAh battery with 100W wired charging, a triple 50-megapixel camera set that includes a periscope telephoto, and IP68 plus IP69 dust and water resistance. iQOO is vivo's performance sub-brand, and we tested that family's reach on the vivo X500 Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the flagships you can actually buy here are on offer. As we reported this month, Samsung has been discounting its current Galaxy flagships in Malaysia. A buyer who wants a top-end phone today already has options on Malaysian shelves, while the iQOO 16 is not yet on iQOO Malaysia's site and carries no local price.

For now, the honest answer to those 186 impressions is the one iQOO Malaysia has not given. Its Malaysian site shows no price and no date for the phone, a China sticker and a ringgit conversion to stand in for it. We will update this the moment an iQOO 16 page appears on the company's Malaysian site.
