SURI: The Seventh Note Hits PS5 and Steam on October 30 at USD 19.99

SURI: The Seventh Note, the debut game from Bengaluru studio Tathvamasi Studios, arrives on the PlayStation 5 and on PC through Steam on 30 October 2026, with a GOG release alongside. The standard edition is priced at USD 19.99, and pre-orders are open now at a 20 percent discount. The game is backed by Sony's PlayStation India Hero Project, the programme that funds and mentors Indian developers.

It is a rhythm action platformer. Players take the role of Ajira, a girl racing to save her mother from a mysterious illness by finding a magical fruit on an island torn apart by a corrupting rhythm. Every move is tied to the music: run, jump and dash in time with the soundtrack, and missing the beat breaks your flow.

On the PS5, the studio's Rhythm Haptics Engine turns each track into vibrations through the DualSense controller, so the beat is something you feel in your hands as well as hear and see. The game also promises handcrafted chase sequences and abilities that expand as you learn to read each level's tempo.

Pricing is straightforward. The standard edition is USD 19.99, and the PlayStation Store pre-order runs at USD 15.99 during the 20 percent promotion. A free demo has been available on both the PS5 and Steam since 21 May, so players can try the timing before they commit.

For Malaysian players, both the PlayStation Store and Steam serve the local market, so you can wishlist or pre-order SURI now and play from launch day. Sony recently gave Malaysia's RM2,499 PS5 its own free AI upscaling update, and the console has been a steady home for smaller independent titles like Lost Castle 2, which left early access with a Steam discount earlier this year.

"After nearly three years SURI has gone from an idea in our heads to a fully realised game for the PS5 and PC," said Glen Martin, chief executive and game director at Tathvamasi Studios. "It is our first game and we would not be here without the gracious support of the PlayStation India Hero Project. We had a blast making it, now it is your turn to feel the rhythm."

SURI: The Seventh Note is one of several titles Sony has backed through its India Hero Project, which pairs local studios with funding and support. More details and the latest gameplay trailer are on the game's official website.
