Google has switched on a set of proactive health features called Health Guardian for Pixel Watch owners. The tools sit inside the Google Health app and give wearers more ways to keep an eye on their wellbeing straight from the wrist, Google said in its announcement.

Three trends the watch tracks in the background
Health Guardian runs continuously in the background and follows subtle physiological shifts over time rather than taking one-off readings. At launch it covers three areas: blood pressure trends, insulin resistance trends and sleep breathing quality. Google says the features are backed by clinical research, and the first trend reports will arrive in early October.
Because each tool looks at patterns across days and weeks, it can flag when a measure is trending higher than it should be over that period. Google frames this as giving wearers earlier and more personalised signals, so they can adjust daily habits such as sleep, activity or diet before a longer-term problem sets in. The reports appear as summaries in the Google Health app, with prompts that explain why a trend is marked high and what steps might help.
Free on Pixel Watch 3, 4 and 5
The Health Guardian features are included free on Pixel Watch 3, 4 and 5, so owners of those models do not pay extra to use them. Google also said Fitbit Air users will be able to see insulin resistance and blood pressure trends later this year, but that access will require a Google Health Premium subscription rather than coming free.
Part of a wider health and software push
The rollout continues Google's effort to turn its wearables into everyday health companions rather than step counters alone, leaning on the sensors already inside recent Pixel Watch models and processing the data over time. It also arrives alongside a broader run of Google software updates, some of which have reached Malaysia quickly. The wearable market locally is crowded, too: Huawei recently said it had become the world's top smartwatch brand as its Watch GT 7 landed in Malaysia. For Pixel Watch owners who want to look beyond daily steps and heart rate, Health Guardian is the clearest sign yet of where Google wants its watch to go.
