Epson Malaysia has launched the Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B, an all-in-one ultra-short-throw projector that turns a living room wall into a screen of up to 150 inches, without the space a giant television or a ceiling-mounted projector would demand.
The unit is designed to sit just inches from the wall. Epson says it can throw a 120-inch image from about 17.3cm away, so it slots onto an ordinary console beneath the wall it projects onto, with no long throw distance across the room and no complex installation.

A 4K picture from a laser light source
The EH-LS970B uses a 3LCD laser projection system rated at up to 4,000 lumens of colour and white brightness, with a contrast ratio Epson lists at more than 5,000,000 to 1. It resolves a 4K image and adds AI-powered image processing to sharpen detail and adapt the picture to what is on screen. Instead of leaving buyers to pair the projector with a separate speaker, Epson has built in a Sound by Bose audio system, so the picture and the sound come from one box.
