Hisense has introduced RoamView in Malaysia, a portable 4K screen built around a simple idea: the best place to watch something is not always where the television lives. It is the newest addition to the brand's Lifestyle Series, and it is designed to move with you rather than stay bolted to one wall.

A screen that follows you around the house
The pitch is flexibility. You might want to follow a recipe in the kitchen, catch a workout in the living room, or watch a film in bed, and a fixed television cannot be in all three places while a tablet feels too small for any of them. RoamView sits in between. You can carry it from room to room, then rotate, tilt or lift the screen to find a comfortable angle.
A battery built into the stand means it runs without being tethered to a power outlet, so it keeps working while you relax, work or create. One caveat worth knowing before you buy: detach the screen from the stand and it needs to be plugged in to keep going.
More than something to watch
Hisense is positioning RoamView as a screen for doing, not just viewing. It can capture ideas on a Whiteboard, run a digital sketchpad for creative projects, set a mood with an Art Gallery mode, or turn a room into a karaoke stage through Karafun. When it is time to sit back, 4K streaming handles the entertainment side.
Underneath, a high-performance processing platform is paired with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage, which Hisense says keeps multitasking smooth and leaves room to keep films, shows and photos on the device itself.
Where it sits in the Lifestyle Series
RoamView joins CanvasTV, the art-first display that turns a screen into part of the wall, under the same Lifestyle Series banner. It is the latest in a steady push by Hisense in the Malaysian home, and it follows the display technology the brand showed off at IFA 2026. Globally, Hisense cites an Omdia report ranking it first in 100-inch TV and Laser TV shipments, and in Malaysia it points to GfK data placing it first in four-door refrigerators and air conditioners.
