Huawei has added a new pair of wireless earbuds to its Malaysian range. The HUAWEI FreeBuds Neo went on sale on 3 September 2026 at RM399 after rebate, down from a recommended RM499, and it leads with adaptive noise cancellation and a wide-range driver at a price that sits well below Huawei's step-up models.

The price, and what the RM399 includes
The FreeBuds Neo carries a recommended retail price of RM499. A RM100 rebate brings the first sale price to RM399, and Huawei is bundling gifts it values at up to RM278 with each purchase.

The Loss Care service is the part worth noting: if you lose or damage a single earbud within the coverage period, you can buy one replacement bud at 50% of its retail price rather than a whole new set.
Noise cancellation and sound
The FreeBuds Neo uses a dual-channel noise cancellation design that Huawei rates at up to 30 dB, aimed at everyday noise such as wind and background chatter. A third-generation audio chip adjusts the level as your surroundings change, which is meant to soften the sudden pressure shifts that make cheaper active cancellation tiring over a long day.
For sound, Huawei fits what it calls a Turbo driver with a frequency range from 10 Hz to 48 kHz. Paired with a Huawei phone it supports up to 2.3 Mbps lossless transmission, and up to 990 kbps on other devices, alongside a spatial audio mode. Whether you will actually hear the top of that range is another matter, but the headline figures sit above what most earbuds near RM399 claim.
Fit, controls and switching
Each earbud weighs about 4.8 grams and sits in what Huawei calls a Mini Shuttle Case, a rounded and compact charging case. The HUAWEI Audio Connect app handles noise modes, sound settings, find-my-earbuds and battery levels, and it can run on a compatible Huawei watch so you can change settings from your wrist. The earbuds work with Android, iOS and Windows and can connect to two devices at once across different systems.

The FreeBuds Neo comes in three colours, Stellar Silver, Nebula Pink and Starry Black, and is on sale now through HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Malaysia website, and Huawei's official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok. The rebate and bundled gifts run while stocks last. Huawei has signed the Malaysian boy group ALPHA to front the local campaign.
