If your bathroom is short on wall space, the box that heats your shower water is usually one of the bulkier things fighting for it. RUBINE has just made that box a lot slimmer, and it now has a national record to show for it.

The Malaysia Book of Records has certified the RUBINE EOS Series as the country's thinnest instant shower water heater, at a 45mm profile. RUBINE is the home-grown brand of Fiamma Trading, a subsidiary of Fiamma Holdings Berhad, and the recognition was awarded at an event in Kuala Lumpur on 30 July 2026.

What the RUBINE EOS record measures

The claim is specific: at 45mm deep, the EOS Series is the slimmest instant shower water heater the record body has certified in Malaysia. The Malaysia Book of Records says it verified the figure itself before signing off.

"Our team independently measured and confirmed the 45mm profile against the relevant category benchmark before this achievement could be certified," said Jwan Heah Yeow Hooi, Chief Operating Officer of the Malaysia Book of Records.

EOS stands for Energy Optimisation System, RUBINE's name for the technology that balances water flow and power draw to reach your set shower temperature quickly while cutting wasted energy and water.

Two models and their safety features

The EOS Series comes in two variants, EOS PRIME and EOS ULTRA SLIM, and both share the same safety kit:

  • Double Protection, Double Thermal (DPDT) system that isolates the live and neutral lines together if it detects an electrical fault.
  • Dual Valve that clears leftover hot water from the chamber once the shower is turned off, so the next person is not caught by a sudden hot burst.
  • Digital touch panel with a Last Memory function, which returns to your preferred temperature at a single touch.

Selected models add a DC inverter pump rated to run below 45 decibels while boosting weak incoming water pressure, aimed at high-rise units and homes with inconsistent flow. The EOS PRIME goes a step further, packing a built-in rain shower and hand shower into the same unit.

Why a thinner heater matters at home

Instant water heaters sit on the bathroom wall in full view, so a slimmer unit is easier to fit into a compact or newly renovated bathroom without dominating the space. For most households the pressure-boosting pump is the more practical draw, especially in apartments where the shower has always felt weak. RUBINE positions the EOS Series within Fiamma's wider push into energy-efficient home products, developed with partner Versatile Setup Sdn Bhd.

Availability

RUBINE sells the EOS Series through its nationwide network of authorised dealers, with after-sales service included. Malaysian pricing was not disclosed at the recognition event. Full details are on the RUBINE Malaysia website and through its dealers.

A record for the thinnest heater is a marketing milestone more than a spec that will change your shower, but the slim profile, the anti-scald valve and the pressure pump are the parts most likely to matter once one of these is on your wall.
