Infinix HOT 70 Lands in Malaysia at RM649

Colour-shifting design, a One-Tap AI button and a 6000mAh battery, all at RM649.

For under RM700, Infinix is asking Malaysian buyers a simple question: should a phone blend in, or say something about you? The Infinix HOT 70, on sale from 5 June at RM649, answers with a colour-shifting back panel, a dedicated AI button and a battery built to outlast a long day.

The HOT 70 sits in the budget tier, but it leans hard on design. Infinix calls the look Dynamic Shine, and the Green Texture edition shows it best: a Lumina Flare back panel uses flame-like microstructures that catch and bend light as you tilt the phone, shifting between patterns of light and shadow. A Baby-Smooth coating resists fingerprints, and at 7.49mm and 195g the phone stays slim. Malaysian buyers get three finishes: Green Texture, Night Pulse and Silver Dancer.

The Infinix HOT 70's all-day battery

The headline hardware is the 6000mAh battery, paired with 45W Lightning FastCharge that Infinix says refills the phone from flat to full in about an hour. A Bypass Charging mode routes power straight to the device during long video or streaming sessions, keeping the battery cooler when the phone is plugged in and working hard. The 6.78-inch display runs at 120Hz and reaches up to 700 nits, enough to stay readable outdoors when you are checking maps mid-commute. Running everything is MediaTek's Helio G100 Ultimate, tuned for steady multitasking rather than chart-topping benchmarks.

Built to survive real life

Durability is the other pitch. The HOT 70 carries an IP65 rating against dust and splashes, plus SGS testing that Infinix describes as covering 1.5m drops and more than 40 consecutive front-face falls. A Folax Speaker Cleaner uses sonic vibrations to clear dust and moisture from the speakers, and the phone ships with XOS 16 backed by up to three major OS upgrades and five years of security patches. For a device at this price, that software window runs longer than most rivals offer.

One-tap AI and a launch freebie

A physical One-Tap AI button sits within thumb reach. A short press opens AI FlashMemo, which reads what is on screen and turns it into an action: a flight time becomes a calendar entry, a business card becomes a saved contact. A long press calls up Folax AI, which routes queries to five models including ChatGPT and Google Gemini so you can compare answers without app-hopping. The 50MP main camera adds AI tools such as Eraser and Extender for quick edits before sharing.

There is a launch sweetener too. Buyers of selected Infinix phones, the HOT 70 Series among them, get a complimentary three-month Google AI Plus subscription with 2TB of cloud storage. The HOT 70 is on sale now through Infinix official stores on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop, as well as offline retail.
