Huawei used a Kuala Lumpur launch on 9 June to refresh several parts of its lineup at once, led by a flagship tablet and joined by a new phone and two smartwatches. If you have been waiting for a large-screen Android tablet built for real work, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max is the headline.

What the Huawei MatePad Pro Max offers
The MatePad Pro Max is an ultra-slim tablet built on Huawei's Cloud Falcon Architecture. It weighs 509g and measures 4.7mm thick, and Huawei says no tablet is thinner or lighter. The screen is a 13.2-inch 3K Flexible OLED PaperMatte display with a 94% screen-to-body ratio, and the PaperMatte finish uses nano-level etching to cut glare and ease eye strain over long reading or drawing sessions.
The pitch here is productivity. The tablet runs an AI-assisted, PC-level version of WPS Office for document editing, multitasking and online collaboration, and it pairs with the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard and the M-Pencil Pro to work more like a laptop when you need it. The Glide Keyboard is included in the box.
A new phone and two watches round out the set
The HUAWEI nova 15 Max is the everyday phone in the lineup. It carries an 8,500mAh battery with a Kirin 8000 Series chip, a 6.84-inch OLED screen that runs at 120Hz and reaches up to 4,000 nits, dual stereo speakers rated up to 85dB, and a 50MP RYYB main camera. It is rated IP65 and SGS 5-star for drop resistance, and comes in Blush Gold and Golden Black. An AI Smart Control button gives one-tap app access, a double-tap shortcut to Gemini, and a long-press to apps like WhatsApp and Touch 'n Go eWallet.
The two watches aim at very different buyers. The HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 Series is the company's first family smartwatch, with a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen, front and rear cameras, real-time location and HD video calls, in playful colourways. The WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition is built for runners, adding a Running Ability Index and a Training Camp Dashboard to guide race preparation.
