Sony has launched the REON POCKET PRO Plus, the latest flagship in its wearable thermo-device line, alongside the standard sixth-generation REON POCKET 6. Both go on sale at Sony Stores and Sony Store Online in Singapore from 12 May 2026.
The PRO Plus is the headline product. It uses what Sony calls an "Adaptive Hold Design" neckband, which is essentially a thicker mechanical flexible tube inside the band. The company says holding force is up about 40% over the previous flagship, so the unit stays put when you walk. The PRO Plus also includes the new REON POCKET TAG 2, an 18% smaller environmental sensor that pairs with the unit to read ambient temperature and humidity.
Why Sony REON POCKET PRO Plus matters
The Sony pitch is straightforward: cool the back of your neck, cool the rest of you. Whether that actually delivers depends on how much heat the device can pull. The company claims up to 20% better cooling than the previous flagship, and up to 2°C lower body-surface temperature in SMART COOL mode, measured at 35°C ambient after 10 minutes at rest.
The standard REON POCKET 6 packs a "Compact DUAL Thermo Module" with two independent thermo modules running alternately, and Sony says it improves cooling by up to 2°C while staying close to its predecessor's body size. There is also a new adjustable air vent on both models, which extends and angles to cope with different collar heights, useful if you live in collared shirts.
