Nubia has introduced their newest smartphone, the Nubia Flip 5G, with a focus on expanding their presence in Malaysia's smartphone industry. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, this phone features a clamshell design that can be folded but comes at a more affordable price point. The Nubia Flip 5G will come in one variant, equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Its 'wrinkleless' screen provides a sleek and seamless display. The chassis is crafted with a zircon sandblasted frame and an AG etched glass surface, making it resistant to fingerprint stains. When unfolded, the device is a mere 7.3mm thin, while when folded, it measures 15.5mm in thickness. It also weighs just 214 grammes, making it lightweight and portable.

However, only the primary 50MP, f/1.8 camera is used, as the secondary 2MP depth sensor is not as powerful. The main display also features a 16MP selfie camera with a punch hole cutout, but most users will rely on the 50MP back camera and cover screen for taking selfies and unlocking the device.
The compact foldable device boasts a 6.9-inch, flexible OLED main display with a high resolution of 2790 x 1188p, resulting in a sharp pixel density of 443 PPI. It also supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming to minimise eye strain. Additionally, there is a convenient 1.43-inch circular OLED cover display with a resolution of 466 x 466p, perfect for acting as a viewfinder for selfies and displaying widgets and notifications when the phone is closed. Users even have the option to have their own interactive 'pet' reside on the cover screen.
However, as part of its super early bird sale, from April 15 to April 17, you can acquire the Nubia Flip 5G for as cheap as RM2,499. That would make it cheaper than the Tecno Phantom V Flip, which debuted late last year as Malaysia's cheapest clamshell foldable at RM2,999. If you miss out on their crazy early bird bargain, there will be another initial sale campaign from April 18 to May 15, when you can acquire it for only RM2,899. This device will exclusively be sold through Nubia's official Lazada store for RM3,999.
