Netflix has announced a price drop for its Basic Plan, dropping from RM35 to RM28. The price cut has come into effect starting today, 21st Feb, and will apply to all existing and new Netflix account holders.

The Basic Plan allows users to stream unlimited shows and movies in 720p without ads, plus enjoy offline downloads. It's "basic" in the sense that you can only watch on 1 device at the same time, but if you live alone, the Basic Plan is good enough as you can stream on mobile, tablet, computer, or your TV, just all alone.
With all the commotion about Netflix cracking down on shared accounts, a price cut is all we need in this economy. If you still think this is steep for streaming, then there's still the RM18/month Mobile Plan, which only allows you to stream on mobile and tablets only.
