What happens when Samsung and ProductNation join forces?
In collaboration with Samsung Malaysia, ProductNation organised a spectacular Scavenger Hunt on 9 January 2022 at the Perdana Botanical Gardens in Kuala Lumpur. Eight lucky Samsung fans were chosen to participate a once in a lifetime opportunity by competing for exclusive Samsung prizes worth up to RM4,000.
With the grand prize being the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G (256GB) up for grabs, participants were also given the exciting opportunity of using the latest device by Samsung during the scavenger hunt.

For everyone else, it was like any other leisurely Sunday at the capital city’s beautiful recreational park. But for the ProductNation team and the eight participants, a day of thrilling competitive challenges awaited them.
Amid fitness enthusiasts and everyday park-goers, the eight participants started off the day by getting to know each other over breakfast. From 8.00 am, they were briefed by the ProductNation team on the much-anticipated happenings of the day.
Basically, each participant is to compete over three consecutive challenges with the Galaxy S21 FE phones: Sniper Challenge, Performance Challenge and Design Challenge. Points were to be given in each game, and the winner is determined by the one with the highest points.
After briefly getting to know each other, the eight participants teamed up to form four teams of two. Once each team was equipped with a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, the scavenger hunt was set to begin.
9:00 am - Sniper Challenge:
Every team was accompanied by a ProductNation Buddy to complete this first challenge. The teams had to recreate five images from a pool of eighteen images, captured by ProductNation, using only the 30x zoom feature on the Galaxy S21 FE.
Immediately, everyone felt the adrenaline rush to snap the shots. It was indeed tricky as each picture had to be taken and look nearly identical in terms of composition and approved by the ProductNation buddy before moving on to the next image.
Everyone was energetic and passionate in their pursuit as this challenge was speed-based with the fastest team gaining the highest points.
Despite being under the hot sun, participants found it easy to view the phone while they take their photos. Given that Samsung smartphones are known for their display screens, the participants were glad that it’s the same for the Galaxy S21 FE.

After the challenge completion announcements on team winners, participants took a short break while the team set the phones for the second challenge. During this break, the participants were also allowed to take a stroll around the botanical gardens in order to prepare and get inspiration for the final challenge.
10:00 am - Performance Challenge:
Designed to show that the Galaxy S21 FE was built for mobile gaming, each team participated in three rounds of Asphalt 8.
This popular arcade-style mobile racing game was excitingly nerve-wracking as participants tried to outrace each other in the span of three rounds.
Not only were the participants intensely competing, but the team Samsung Buddies were also vying for each participant. Everyone was focused on keeping their virtual vehicles in staying on track as they race to beat to the finish line.
Two participants happened to peek at the settings for the game and shared that they were amazed at the phone being able to run the flashy game at the highest resolution. That’s the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE for you!

11:00 am - Design Challenge:
The final and most anticipated challenge of the Scavenger Hunt kicked off after a short break and briefing. Here, every eight participants were no longer in teams and played for themselves as they rushed to complete the Design Challenge.
This time, each participant had to put their photography and artistic skills to use by creatively photographing the Galaxy S21 FE.
Having already taken a stroll around the park and familiarised themselves with the surroundings, this challenge should have been a breeze. However, participants were only given ten minutes each to complete this challenge.
Everyone was limited to three areas in the park and were allowed to use the native photo editing software on the Galaxy S21 FE. Top winners from the Performance Challenge were given the advantage of being able to go first.
A participant shared that despite them not having a natural flair for photography, they were pleased with how they were able to take good-looking photos on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G.

12:00 pm - Winner Announcement:
By noon, the Samsung X ProductNation Scavenger Hunt came to a pleasant end. Photos were judged anonymously, and scores were tabulated to finalise the participants that’ll be rewarded with exciting Samsung prizes.
The 1st winner walked home with a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S21 FE while the first-runner up was awarded the Samsung Galaxy Watch4, followed by the Galaxy Buds2 for the second-runner up, and Galaxy SmartTag for the third-runner up.
Despite not everyone walking home with Samsung devices, ProductNation ensured that no one walked home empty-handed by giving away GrabFood vouchers worth RM200.

- "...the features are really amazing. As an assistant architect, I find the graphics marvellous and the camera feature comes very handy for people of all ages."

- "The camera is really nice and the zoom function is really surprisingly clear and nice. The default camera's autofocus is also great for beginners in my opinion. While playing Asphalt 9, the performance really shocked me as I am a streamer and gamer. It's a phone that can perform almost similar to a PC, don't even need to mention that the screen refresh rate is 120Hz."
