Garmin’s next-generation of GPS multisport smartwatch lineup has finally arrived in Malaysia. In the latest Fēnix 6 series, Garmin consists of the durable Fēnix 6S, Fēnix 6 and Fēnix 6X. Built for the face of adventure, this series is inclusive of Power Manager and Body Battery which help consumers to monitor their battery usage and conserve battery life on a daily basis.

New features
On Power Manager, this feature allows users to customize and see how various settings and sensors impact battery life. This will help users to estimate battery life and tweak settings on-the-go.
Meanwhile, Body Battery allows one to see their body’s energy levels at any given moment which can help them with scheduling rest times, sleep and workouts as well.
Fēnix 6 & Fēnix 6S
Users can choose to get the watches that are made with either Corning Gorilla Glass 3 or Sapphire (which gives extended durability). Either way, both the Fēnix 6 and 6S sports a trimmer and more comfortable fit on the wrist. Still, there’s an increase in the display sizes of 1-inch compared to the fēnix 5 Plus series which means allowing you to view more at once.
If one desires, they have the option to choose the colours for their QuickFit bands which are made of silicone.
Fēnix 6X (Sapphire & Pro Solar)
The Fēnix 6X features a whopping 21-day battery life in comparison to 9 days on the Fēnix 6S and 13 days on the Fēnix 6. Additionally, with the exception of the Sapphire editions, both Fēnix 6S and 6 only supports Bluetooth whereas the 6X supports both Bluetooth and WiFi.
Back to battery life; it’s a very important factor to consider for any outdoor watches. With this, Garmin has taken a step further by introducing solar charging function for the Pro Solar model.
Designed with Power Glass, the 6X Pro Solar utilises a transparent solar charging lens which will convert the sun’s energy into battery, thus increasing performance in smartwatch mode at up to 21 days plus and an additional 3 days when it's utilizing the solar charging capabilities.
On its body, the Pro Solar features a 1.4-inch sunlight-readable display which is 36% larger than previous fēnix 5X models with U.S. military standards alongside a rugged and sophisticated design.
Pricing and Availability
The Fēnix 6 series is priced from RM 2,999 onwards and is available for sale at all Garmin authorized retailers. Customers can also drop by a roadshow happening in Mid Valley Megamall (in front of Secret recipe) from August 30th to September 1st and purchase the watches. Each purchasing customer from the roadshow is entitled to a lucky draw entry for the chance to win an exciting activity session with Fēnix 6 ambassadors (Aiman Hakim and Zahirah Macwilson).
