Yes for music and streaming from your phone. For films we prefer a wired connection such as HDMI ARC, because Bluetooth can add a small delay that puts dialogue slightly out of step with the picture. Among our picks, the JBL Cinema SB170 offers HDMI ARC and Bluetooth together.

What changed in this update
Updated 1 November 2026. We added the JBL Cinema SB170, ULTIMEA Poseidon M30, Sony HT-S100F and Razer Leviathan V2 X, and replaced the old Xiaomi pick with the Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch from the Xiaomi Official Store. We removed the Avantree Torpedo Wireless Mini Soundbar and the Harman Kardon SB 20 because we could not find a live Shopee Malaysia listing for either, and the Razer Leviathan 5.1 because its listing is gone (the current Leviathan V2 X replaces it). The Samsung HW-M360 now points to the right model and its price moved from RM689 to RM899; the JBL Bar 2.1 is now the MK2 Deep Bass at RM1,689.
