As we usher in the Holy Month, this season of togetherness is a great reminder of the many different states that Malaysia is made up of. There is therefore nothing more apt than to celebrate our local culture and heritage in the most Malaysian way we know how to - through our food.
For buka puasa this year, Pullman KLCC achieves this with their "Destinasi Rasa"-themed Ramadhan buffet that features a spread of over 200 authentic and local delicacies. Notable dishes from Malaysia's 14 states are highlighted to symbolise the country's cultural diversity, with the kitchen cooking up everything from Melaka's Asam Pedas to Kedah's Gulai Kawah Tulang Kambing.
Available at the hotel's Sedap Restaurant, the extravagant spread of flavours was something that when faced with, made us feel personally proud to be able to identify our nationality with. The rich flavours of the Kari Kambing Mangga Muda and Ayam Percik Kelantan were our favourites! Patrons will also be spoilt for choice with the rice options ranging from everybody's favourite Nasi Putih to local delights such as Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Dagang.
For desserts, it goes without saying that it is only right that our national fruit takes centre stage. Durian lovers will be pleased to know that although a fusion of local and Western desserts, the Caramel Chocolate Durian Cake and Durian White Chocolate Pavlova (among others) would satisfy even the pickiest of all Durian eaters. But if it does not, there's a counter serving only Durian too! The dates and kuih-muih section will also leave you spoiled with the sheer amount of options available.
On our part, it is nearly needless to say that our tummies were full and happy after enjoying the spread available at Pullman KLCC. The hotel's Break-Fast and In-Room Early Breakfast promotion is not one to be missed, and you can enjoy it at RM138 nett per adult and RM69 nett per child. But be quick! Early bird purchases are available from now till 20 April 2019, and runs at RM108 nett per adult.
