TikTok Shop now has an app of its own in Malaysia. The TikTok Shop app, published by TikTok Pte. Ltd., is listed on Malaysia's App Store, where Apple's store data gives its first release date as 27 October 2026, and is also on Google Play. We found no announcement on TikTok's Malaysian newsroom as of 6 November. TechCrunch reported the launch on 5 November and said TikTok did not respond to its request for comment.

Quick facts
- Free, for iPhone (iOS 14 or later) and Android
- First released on 27 October 2026, according to Apple's store data

- Not on the Indonesian, Vietnamese or US App Store when we checked on 6 November
- Too few ratings yet for Malaysia's App Store to show a score

What the app does
The listing describes a shopping-only version of TikTok: product picks based on your interests, LIVE streams and short videos that show products in use, checkout, order tracking and 24/7 support. It also promises app-only deals, free shipping offers and first-order benefits, so some offers are meant to be found only in the new app. The official download page calls it "the official TikTok Shop App", powered by TikTok.
The numbers we checked
We read the app's listings on 6 November, ten days after its first release. Malaysia's App Store says it does not yet have enough ratings to show a score, and Apple's store data puts its rating count at zero. In the same store data, Shopee MY has collected 989,638 ratings, the main TikTok app 796,224, Lazada 622,903 and Temu 24,277. Those apps have been listed for years, so the counts cannot show how the new app is performing: each app has been collecting ratings for a different length of time. They show how many ratings the apps it now sits beside have collected.

Google Play shows the app at more than 50,000 downloads, with a 4.4-star average from 224 reviews. Google Play does not split that figure by country, so it is not a Malaysian number.
Where it is listed
The app is listed on the Malaysian, Singapore, Thai and Philippine App Stores, each with the same 27 October first release date. That date belongs to the app, not to each country, so it does not tell us whether all four stores got it on the same day. When we searched the Indonesian, Vietnamese and US storefronts on 6 November, the app was not listed. We did not check every country's store. TechCrunch named the same four markets.

The app was first released 15 days before 11.11. Shopee and Lazada both carry "11.11" in their app names on Malaysia's App Store this week, and we covered what Shopee is running for its 11.11 sale earlier this week. At the end of October we reported what TikTok Shop Malaysia said about its local sellers' 9.9 results.
What we do not know yet
On its download page and the store listings we read on 6 November, TikTok does not say whether the app will reach more countries, whether its deals differ from those in the main TikTok app, or how many Malaysians have installed it. The screenshots on its Malaysian App Store listing show dollar prices, not ringgit. As of 6 November, the latest update, released on 5 November, carries one line of release notes: "Squashed bugs for better experience."
