Epson SC-F330 Lands in Malaysia: A3 Sublimation Prints, an A4 in 72 Seconds

Custom t-shirts, mugs, cushion covers and lanyards have become a real side income for a lot of Malaysians, and most of them start on an A4 printer. Epson Malaysia's new SureColor SC-F330, on sale from 2 November 2026, is the company's first desktop dye-sublimation printer that goes up to A3, which roughly doubles the print area for a full t-shirt front or a large tote.

What the SC-F330 does

Dye-sublimation prints a design onto special transfer paper, which is then heat-pressed onto polyester fabric or coated items so the ink bonds into the material rather than sitting on top. The SC-F330 handles the printing half of that job. Epson pairs its PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead with UltraChrome DS ink, and says the quick-drying 140ml bottles and a Smear Reduction Mode, which stops the printhead brushing against the paper, cut down on wasted sheets and reprints.

According to Epson Malaysia's SC-F330 product page, a default A4 print takes 72 seconds and an A3 takes 118 seconds, at a maximum resolution of 600 x 1,200 dpi. It accepts cut sheets up to A3 (297mm wide), not roll paper.

Built for a small setup

Operation runs through a 2.7-inch colour touchscreen on a tilting panel, with paper cassettes at the front and back. It connects over USB, Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and AirPrint and Mopria support means a design made on a phone can go straight to the printer. Setup, in Epson's words, is connect, load paper and fill the ink tank.

The standard warranty is one year, and Epson CoverPlus, which comes with the printer, can extend that by up to four more years. Epson Malaysia managing director Alvin Tan said the aim is to help people "move from occasional, creative projects to more consistent production".

Why Epson is chasing this market

Epson cites a projection that Southeast Asia's custom printing market will grow from US$571.55 million in 2025 to US$1.29 billion by 2034, about 9.52% a year, with sublimation the fastest-growing printing method within it.

For a home business the trade-off is simple: an A3 sublimation printer costs more to buy than an everyday inkjet, but it is the piece that turns a heat press into a product line. If you are still choosing a regular printer for the house, our printer buying guide for Malaysia covers the basics, and Epson's cheaper-to-run EcoTank range arrived here earlier this year.

Epson has not published a Malaysian price for the SC-F330. It is available from 2 November 2026 through Epson Malaysia and its authorised dealers.
