HONOR has put three new devices on Malaysian shelves at once, widening its connected lineup with a family tablet and two sets of wireless earbuds that start at RM49. The HONOR Pad X7b, the Earbuds 5e and the Earbuds X10 Play are all available to buy now.
Quick facts
- HONOR Pad X7b: from RM699, in Wi-Fi and LTE versions, with a 9.7-inch 2K screen and an 8,000mAh battery.
- HONOR Earbuds 5e: RM149, with active noise cancellation.
- HONOR Earbuds X10 Play: RM49, rated for up to 49 hours of battery life.
- All three are on sale in Malaysia now.
A durable tablet built for families
The Pad X7b leads the launch from RM699, in Wi-Fi and LTE versions. It pairs a compact 9.7-inch 2K HONOR Eye Comfort display with a large 8,000mAh battery, which HONOR positions for long stretches of learning, streaming and everyday use. The part parents will care about is the build: it carries SGS 5-Star Certified enhanced drop and crush resistance, so it is made to survive being handled by children, and HONOR layers its Kids mode on top for younger users.
If you would rather pair a tablet with a keyboard, we recently tested whether Samsung's RM1,599 Pro Keyboard turns the Galaxy Tab into a laptop, which sits at the opposite end of the price scale.
Two ways into HONOR's earbuds, from RM49
The Earbuds 5e are the step-up pair at RM149, with active noise cancellation and what HONOR calls high-fidelity audio for focus at work or listening at home. The headline, though, is the Earbuds X10 Play at RM49. They are light, carry a 13mm driver, and HONOR rates them for up to 49 hours of total battery life, which is a lot of listening for the money.
Availability
All three are on sale in Malaysia now through HONOR's official store and its retail partners. The pricing reads as HONOR filling in the affordable end of its ecosystem rather than chasing flagships, the same budget-durability angle it took with the RM1,899 X9e Pro phone it launched this week.
