Malaysians can now make a trending TikTok video with their own face in it without leaving WhatsApp. Rojak App, a Malaysian AI app, runs a service called Tiru Trend: you send one selfie to its WhatsApp number, answer four questions, and AI recreates a viral trend with you as the lead, trend song included. The full video costs RM39 and lands in your chat 30 to 60 minutes later.
The trend on offer is the "ketua" clip going round TikTok: you walk through the middle of a crowd of hundreds of people, and everyone bows at once as you reach the front. You can make the trend video on WhatsApp from your phone, with no app to download.

How it works, step by step
- Tap the button on rojak's Tiru Trend page. WhatsApp opens with the first message already typed.
- Send one selfie with your face clear. A group photo works too: the biggest face in it becomes the lead.
- Answer four questions: who the crowd behind you is, the place, your outfit, and what you are holding. Send a photo, type it, or keep it the same as the example.
- Pick the shape: vertical for TikTok, or landscape.
- Check the summary and confirm. The video takes 30 to 60 minutes, and you get a WhatsApp message when it is ready, so you do not have to wait in the chat.
What it costs
| Item | Price (checked 8 October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Preview of your look as the lead, before paying | Free |
| Full video, no watermark | RM39 |
| Video still fails after 2 tries | Money back |
| How you pay | In the chat, by FPX, card or GrabPay |
For scale, RM39 is about what one month of CapCut Pro costs: RM37.50 when we checked on 8 September for our guide to AI video generators in Malaysia. The two do different jobs. CapCut gives you the tools to make and edit videos yourself; Tiru Trend hands you one finished trend video with your face already in it.
What else the same WhatsApp number makes
The same chat, Rojak's WhatsApp service, also turns a selfie into AI style photos (80s, a 90s yearbook, a K-drama poster, Raya glamour, anime and more). The first two photos are free, after which each costs 25 credits; at RM15 for 400 credits, that works out to about RM0.94 a photo. It also makes a passport photo to the immigration spec on a white background, with a 4R sheet for printing, free to preview and 100 credits to download. If you want to edit photos you already have rather than make new ones, our guide to AI photo editors in Malaysia compares the tools built for that.
What to know before you try it
- It is not instant. A trend video takes 30 to 60 minutes; the style photos take about a minute.
- One clear face works best. In a group photo, only the biggest face becomes the lead.
- Adults only for videos. Style photos, stickers and trend videos are for people 18 and over; passport photos are the only thing it makes for children.
- Your own face, or one you have permission to use. Rojak's rules allow nothing else.
- Privacy. According to rojak, selfies are deleted automatically within 7 days (type "padam" in the chat to delete them straight away) and are not sold or used to train AI. The chat text is kept for 180 days for support and refunds.
