HONOR Malaysia says the HONOR X9e Pro sold out across every one of its sales platforms within seven days of going up for pre-order, and that the toughness-first phone drew strong crowds on its first day of nationwide sales on 9 October 2026. The X9e Pro launched in Malaysia on 24 September from RM1,899, and HONOR is selling it on one idea above all others: that it is very hard to break.

The headline number is the battery. The X9e Pro carries an 11,000mAh cell, far larger than almost anything else near its price in Malaysia, and that is the sort of figure that sells a mid-range phone to people tired of charging twice a day. HONOR pairs it with a 108MP main camera and claims five class-leading credentials for the phone: the largest battery, the toughest build, the best water resistance, the brightest display, and a place in what it calls Malaysia's best-selling mid-range series for four straight generations.
The durability campaign behind the demand
HONOR did not sell this phone on a spec sheet. It sold it on stunts. At a media briefing in September, the company fired an air gun at the phone's screen under controlled conditions, hammered nails into wood with it, smashed metal cans, and launched a metal ball at it from a slingshot. HONOR says the X9e Pro kept working through all of it.
It followed that with a four-part military-inspired series, putting the phone through jungle survival and fieldcraft, precision shooting, a military-style obstacle course, and an underwater endurance test. HONOR says the phone came out of all four fully functional after taking hard impacts, drops, mud and prolonged water exposure.
Behind the theatre are specific ratings. HONOR rates the X9e Pro to survive drops from 3 metres across ten surfaces including cobblestone, asphalt and rough granite, with all-angle protection down to 1.2 metres that it says cuts the risk of screen damage by 82%. The anti-drop system, which HONOR calls Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 4.0, is modelled on the Halo safety structure used in Formula 1 cars. The phone also carries an SGS five-star reliability certification and an IP69K water and dust rating.
We unboxed the X9e Pro ourselves. The clip has no narration, so what it shows is the phone and its purple 108MP camera island, not a script written to match a claim:
Our full HONOR X9e Pro unboxing walks through the retail box, the camera island and the 3-metre drop rating up close. The toughness pitch runs right through this line: we called the HONOR X9d a good mid-range phone with incredible durability, and before that rated the X9c the most durable phone we had tested. The X9e Pro pushes the same idea further, with a bigger battery and a louder campaign.
Where to buy it, and the deal now
The X9e Pro is on sale now at HONOR Experience Stores nationwide and through HONOR's online channels, from RM1,899 for the 256GB model. Pre-orders, which ran until 8 October, came with a free HONOR Pad X7 tablet, an instant rebate and extended warranty cover, and HONOR says that window sold out in a week. The company is now running an in-person roadshow at Sunway Pyramid with a chance to win gold, and says the phone is also available free on selected telco plans.
