The ASUS ROG G1000 is ASUS's most expensive pre-built gaming desktop to date, and it is on Malaysian shelves now at RM29,999. It leads with two ideas aimed at buyers who want a machine that performs hard and doubles as a showpiece on the desk.

What the ASUS ROG G1000 packs
Inside sits an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, a 16-core, 32-thread chip with 3D V-Cache built for gaming and heavy multitasking, paired with a ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 carrying 16GB of GDDR7. The board is a high-end X870 platform with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory across two sticks, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. There is headroom to grow, with four DDR5 slots (up to 128GB), four M.2 slots and six SATA ports, fed by a 1000W 80 Plus Gold power supply.
A cooling chamber, and holographic fans
The main engineering story is the ROG Thermal Atrium, a separate chamber that isolates the CPU's 420mm liquid cooler and three 140mm intake fans from the rest of the system. ASUS says giving the cooler its own supply of ambient air lowers CPU intake temperatures by up to 16C. The GPU and power supply each get their own airflow zone as well, in what ASUS calls a tri-zone design.
The other talking point is AniMe Holo, which ASUS describes as the first holographic fan system built into a pre-built desktop. A 380mm holographic fan with 720 LEDs sits on the side panel, with two 215mm fans carrying 404 LEDs each on the front. Through Armoury Crate you can run custom text, system stats or animations across 16.77 million colours, so the case can act as a display piece.
Price, bundle and warranty in Malaysia
The ROG G1000 sells for RM29,999 on its own. ASUS is also running an e-Store exclusive bundle that pairs it with the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS monitor for RM32,999, which it places at RM2,650 below the combined recommended price of RM35,649. The desktop ships with a 3-year on-site warranty.
Who it is for
At close to RM30,000 this is not a mainstream buy, and the 40kg, 104-litre tower is a statement more than a space-saver. It is aimed at gamers and creators who want top-end AMD and NVIDIA parts in a machine that arrives assembled and covered, rather than building one themselves.
