Merdeka is when many Malaysian homes fill up again, with family meals, open houses and long evenings in front of the television. LG is timing its latest Merdeka promotion to that season, offering up to RM4,000 back in Touch 'n Go eWallet credit when you upgrade the home tech those gatherings run on.

The campaign, called Celebrate A Better Home, runs until 1 November 2026 and covers a wide slice of LG's 2026 range: the OLED evo AI and QNED evo AI television line-ups, WashTower laundry units, InstaView refrigerators, NeoChef microwaves, CordZero vacuums, PuriCare air and water purifiers, and DUALCOOL air conditioners. The eWallet credit is tiered by model, so the headline RM4,000 sits on the most expensive sets rather than on every product.

Where the RM4,000 actually lands

The largest rebates are on the top OLED evo AI televisions. The 77-inch OLED evo G5, for example, is listed at RM23,999 during the promo, down from RM32,499, with RM4,000 credited back to your eWallet. Step down the range and the credit shrinks: the 65-inch OLED evo G5 carries RM2,000, and a 75-inch QNED evo set carries around RM2,000. Home appliances get smaller amounts, such as RM500 on selected WashTower units. LG's full model-by-model list sits on its Merdeka promotion page.

Mix and match for extra credit

Buyers upgrading more than one part of the home can stack rewards. Purchase two or more qualifying products from different categories on a single receipt, with a minimum spend of RM3,000, and LG adds up to RM400 in eWallet credit. Pairing a qualifying TV with an LG soundbar adds up to RM300, two or more Objet Collection refrigerators unlock up to RM1,000, and selected laundry combinations, such as a WashTower with a Styler, add up to RM300.

Energy rebate, warranty and free gifts

Some buyers can claim a separate government rebate on top. Selected LG air conditioners and refrigerators with four or five-star energy ratings may qualify for an extra RM200 e-Rebate under the national NUR@PETRA programme, run by SEDA with the Energy Commission. It is subject to eligible models, dealer participation and approval, and is separate from LG's own rewards.

LG is also marking 10 years of its InstaView door-in-door fridges, so eligible refrigerator purchases come with a limited-edition InstaView cooler bag worth RM199 while stocks last. Selected inverter air conditioners qualify for an extra two-year warranty on parts, on top of the standard one year. For households that would rather pay monthly, LG Subscribe stays available as an option, with maintenance visits included.

How to claim

The rewards are not automatic. After buying an eligible model, submit your redemption on LG's promotion page by 30 November 2026, and approved eWallet credit is paid into your registered Touch 'n Go account. Check the eligible-model list before you buy, since the credit varies widely between products and some lines carry no rebate at all.

For Malaysians already planning a Merdeka-season upgrade, the maths is simple: pick from the eligible list, stack a mix-and-match pairing if it fits, and the credit comes back after purchase rather than off the shelf price.
