Google's Pixel 11 is official, and for once the headline is not the chip or the software. It is the camera. Malaysian buyers can pre-order the new lineup from today, prices starting at RM3,999, and the pitch is simple: this is the biggest Pixel camera jump in years.

What Google announced
At its Made by Google 2026 event, which streamed in the early hours of Malaysian time, the company revealed four phones: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the folding Pixel 11 Pro Fold. It also showed the Pixel Watch 5 and the Pixel Tag, a tracker aimed squarely at Apple's AirTag, though TechCrunch reports the Tag does not ship until November.
All four phones run Google's new Tensor G6 processor. Google says it browses the web 25 percent faster than last year's G5, opens apps 15 percent quicker, and runs 20 percent more efficiently. The base Pixel 11 also quietly doubles its storage to 256GB while holding last year's starting price.
The camera is the real change
On the Pixel 11 Pro, the main camera now pulls in 56 percent more light than the Pixel 10, according to DPReview's breakdown. It pairs that with a 48MP ultrawide that adds a macro mode and a 48MP telephoto that reaches 5x optically, stretches up to 120x, and gathers 32 percent more light than before. More light is the whole game in phone photography: it is what separates a usable night shot from a smeary one. The Pro and Fold also gain HiLight, a ring of small LEDs around the camera bar that glows when Gemini is listening or thinking while the phone sits face down.
What it costs in Malaysia
This is where it gets real for local buyers. Soyacincau's pricing list puts the Pixel 11 at RM3,999, the Pixel 11 Pro at RM4,999, the Pro XL at RM5,999 and the Pro Fold at RM7,999. Pre-orders open today, 12 August, with sales starting 20 August through Urban Republic, Senheng, Thundermatch and Shopee, alongside the telcos. Should Malaysians buy it
At RM3,999 the base Pixel 11 sits right in Samsung and Apple flagship territory, so the decision comes down to what you value. If it is raw specs and gaming, rivals push harder on paper. If it is photography and Google's AI, this is the strongest case Pixel has made, and it now folds Gemini deep into the phone in the same way Gemini recently arrived inside Google Maps here. The RM7,999 Pro Fold, by contrast, is a want, not a need.

The takeaway

If your phone is your camera, it earns a look. If you just want the biggest numbers on a spec sheet, shop around first.
