If a new foldable has been on your shortlist, Samsung Malaysia is giving you one more reason to decide this week. The company is bringing its Galaxy Z Fold8 line to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 14 August for a public event it is calling Haus of Fold, and it doubles as the final window to lock in the current pre-order deals.

Who is turning up
Samsung has lined up a group of Malaysian names for the day. Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza is making a special appearance, alongside actors Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana and Kamal Adli, and director Anas Ridzuan. The four are the cast and director behind the film Takluk 2: Operasi Daulat, and their appearance ties into a contest Samsung is running around the launch.
The one-word contest
Ahead of the event, Samsung Malaysia is running a Comment and Win campaign on its social channels. The task is to describe the Galaxy Z Fold8 in a single word in the comments, add the hashtags #MeetTheFold and #GalaxyZFold8, and follow the @samsungMalaysia account. Entries close on 14 August. According to the campaign artwork, ten pairs of tickets to a Takluk 2 gala premiere, with a meet and greet, are on offer, and the campaign runs from 7 to 14 August.
The final Galaxy Z Fold8 pre-order window
Beyond the appearances, Haus of Fold is being positioned as the last stop for the current pre-order offers on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. Samsung says the pre-order savings, rewards and purchase offers end after this window, so anyone still weighing the foldables has a fixed deadline to work with.
