If you have been waiting for a phone that leans into photos, short videos and a bit of visual flair, OPPO's new Reno16 Series is now official in Malaysia, and it starts at RM1,899.
OPPO launched three models: the Reno16 F 5G, the Reno16 5G and the Reno16 Pro 5G, alongside a new pair of Enco Air5 earbuds. The headline look is the 3D Pop Planet design on the Pop White edition, which uses an array of micro-lenses to make a small planet appear to float above the back cover as the phone catches the light.

What the Reno16 Series offers
All three phones share a triple rear camera with optical stabilisation, a telephoto lens with roughly 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree view for group shots. The Reno16 Pro goes further with a 200MP main camera, so you can crop into a scene and keep the detail.
Software is where OPPO is putting its energy. Running ColorOS 16, the series adds a Pop Cam mode with retro Digicam, Instant Film and Light Leak looks, plus a Create hub in the Photos app for tools like AI Remix Collage. There is also a new AI Snap Key that opens an on-device area called AI Mind Space for saving and organising what is on your screen.

Battery, performance and durability
Battery capacity starts at 6,700mAh, and the Reno16 F stretches up to 7,000mAh, all with 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The Reno16 Pro runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 platform, while the Reno16 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Every model carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for water and dust, and the screens stay responsive with wet or gloved hands. OPPO is also introducing OPPO Bubble, a 35-gram magnetic accessory with a small AMOLED screen that works as a rear-camera preview and a remote shutter.
Price and availability in Malaysia
Malaysian pricing starts at RM1,899 for the Reno16 F 5G, RM2,699 for the Reno16 5G, and RM3,699 for the Reno16 Pro 5G. The Enco Air5 earbuds are RM249 and the Enco Air5s are RM299. The Enco Air5 brings active noise cancellation with up to 52dB of noise reduction depth and up to 54 hours of total battery life.
To mark the launch, OPPO Malaysia is running a five-day roadshow at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya (LG West Court) until 12 July 2026, with on-ground promotions and a lucky draw for two BABYMONSTER concert tickets. Shoppers can also catch live performances by Insomniacks and Zaki Yamani on 11 July.
The takeaway
The Reno16 Series is aimed squarely at people who live in their camera roll, and the pricing spread gives Malaysians a clear entry point at RM1,899 or a step up to the 200MP Pro. If the floating planet back and the AI editing tools appeal to you, the roadshow is the easiest place to see them in person this week.
