LG Bets Big on PuriCare Air Care Across Asia B2B Market

LG pushes PuriCare air purifiers and dehumidifiers across Asia with new B2B contracts.

Malaysian households and offices keeping an eye on indoor air quality have a fresh signal from one of the bigger players in the category. LG Electronics says it is doubling down on Asia's air care market by securing more large commercial supply contracts and refreshing its PuriCare lineup of air purifiers and dehumidifiers.

The Asia push

LG Thailand recently shipped 300 units of the PuriCare Dual Inverter Dehumidifier to a luxury hotel in Phang Nga's Khao Lak area, per reporting by Seoul Economic Daily. The same series is being stocked at convenience store chains in Taiwan, and LG has named large offices in Taiwan and Indonesia, schools in Singapore and Vietnam, hospitals in Thailand, and government bodies in Hong Kong as recent enterprise customers. Today's release frames that B2B momentum as the basis for the wider PuriCare push across the region.

The Thai air purifier market is forecast to grow at more than 11 percent a year through 2030, while the broader Southeast Asian market is expanding 8 to 10 percent annually. Hot, humid weather makes air conditioners, dehumidifiers and purifiers a stickier consumer category here than in cooler markets, and that is the consumer demand LG is trying to convert.

What is in the PuriCare lineup

The flagship consumer model in the release is the PuriCare 360 Hit Air Purifier. It pulls and filters air across 360 degrees so room placement is more flexible, and uses a built-in PM 1.0 sensor that drives a colour-coded lighting indicator so a glance at the unit tells users how the air is. LG also called out dehumidifiers from the PuriCare line, including the Dual Inverter model behind the Thai hotel order.

The PuriCare line has been on sale in Malaysia for several years, with both purifier and dehumidifier SKUs available through LG dealers and the LG Malaysia online store. Today's release does not announce new Malaysian SKUs or pricing, but signals that LG plans to keep investing in the PuriCare brand across Asia.

Why this matters for Malaysian buyers

For households shopping around an active haze season or new home build, the PuriCare 360 Hit is one of the more talked about premium consumer purifiers in Malaysia and Singapore, alongside Dyson, Sharp and Xiaomi options. A more aggressive Asia strategy from LG could mean more aggressive Malaysian pricing or rebate runs when the next sales cycle hits.

The takeaway

LG's PuriCare line is not new in Malaysia, but its B2B momentum across Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia and Vietnam suggests the company is treating Asia, not Korea, as the growth engine for air care. Local buyers should watch for Malaysian PuriCare promotions tied to the Asia push in the coming months.
