HONOR Magic V6 Opens Malaysia Pre-Orders Ahead of 4 June

HONOR Magic V6 opens Malaysia early bird bookings on 26 May with a RM300 deposit and gifts worth up to RM3,797 ahead of its 4 June launch.

Malaysians eyeing HONOR's next foldable can start putting money down from tomorrow. The HONOR Magic V6 opens for early bird bookings on 26 May, ahead of its official Malaysian launch on 4 June, and HONOR is leaning on one headline claim to sell it: a folding phone it says can tow an aircraft and come away without a scratch.

HONOR Magic V6 booking window and gifts

Bookings run from 26 May to 3 June 2026, and HONOR is asking for a RM300 deposit to reserve a unit. Early birds are promised mystery gifts the company values at up to RM3,797, plus a HONOR Magic Pen it prices at RM499. Reservations open through HONOR's Malaysian online store. The phone itself launches on 4 June at 7:00 PM, with a livestream on HONOR Malaysia's Facebook page.

The durability stunts behind the launch

The booking push follows a showcase at SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre, where HONOR used the Magic V6 to pull a 1.25-tonne Diamond DA42 aircraft over 150 metres. That earned an ASIA Record for the heaviest aircraft towed by a foldable smartphone. For good measure, HONOR also towed a Ferrari sports car for 30 metres and used the phone as a pull-up bar. HONOR says the device finished all three trials with no screen cracks or frame damage and still working.

The claims rest on the phone's Super Steel Hinge, rated at 2,800 MPa tensile strength. Both the inner and outer displays use what HONOR calls its Magic Diamond Screen. The external panel is covered by an anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield built from a 5,600-layer silicon nitride coating, while the inner screen gets an upgraded Ultra-Tough Glass flexible layer. HONOR also says the Magic V6 is the first foldable to carry both IP68 and IP69 dust and water ratings, with protection against submersion up to 1.5 metres.

Why it matters for foldable buyers

Durability has long been the nagging doubt for anyone considering a foldable: hinges that loosen, creased inner screens, and limited water protection. HONOR is answering that head on, and the towing stunts are built to travel on social feeds. The honest caveat is that strength is only half the decision. HONOR has not yet disclosed the Magic V6's processor, cameras, battery, or local pricing, and those land at the 4 June launch. It also previously called the Magic V6 the world's thinnest foldable at 8.75mm folded.

Price and availability

For now, the only confirmed number for Malaysian buyers is the RM300 booking deposit. Full retail pricing and the complete spec sheet are due on 4 June. Anyone tempted to reserve early is effectively betting on the gifts package and durability story before seeing the rest of the phone.

If HONOR can back the toughness theatre with competitive internals and a sensible ringgit price, the Magic V6 could be the foldable that finally calms the durability worry for Malaysian buyers.
