The vivo V70 FE was announced earlier this month as the brand’s first Fashion Edition smartphone in Malaysia. First sales begin on 18 April 2026, and vivo is making the occasion hard to ignore, especially if you were already considering the phone.

The headline number is RM1,027 in bundled free gifts for pre-order customers, but there are a few layers to unpack: what the phone actually is, what the roadshow looks like, and whether the deals hold up on closer inspection.

What is the vivo V70 FE?

The V70 FE sits in vivo’s V series, which typically targets mid-to-upper-mid-range buyers who prioritise camera performance and design. The ‘FE’ designation — Fashion Edition — is new for vivo Malaysia, suggesting the positioning leans into aesthetics alongside specs.

The camera setup leads with a 200MP OIS Ultra-Clear main sensor. At this resolution, the phone is targeting users who want detail-heavy shots they can crop heavily or print large; think travel photography and portrait work rather than quick casual snaps. The addition of Optical Image Stabilisation at 200MP is notable; high-resolution sensors are more sensitive to camera shake, so OIS matters more here than at lower megapixel counts.

vivo’s AI imaging layer processes on top of that hardware, handling scene recognition, noise reduction, and creative modes. The full spec sheet has not been detailed in the launch materials, but the 200MP main camera is clearly the device’s headline feature.

The First Sale Roadshow: 18 April at vivo Concept Stores

The roadshow runs on Saturday, 18 April 2026, across vivo Concept Stores nationwide. Malaysian girl group DOLLA will make a live appearance and perform at the event. This tie-in makes sense given the V70 FE’s fashion-forward positioning and the demographic it targets.

If you were planning to buy the phone anyway, showing up in person on launch day gets you access to the full pre-order gift bundle and the event atmosphere. If you are still on the fence, it is a low-commitment way to see the device in person before committing!

The Pre-Order Bundle

Customers who pre-order the vivo V70 FE at vivo Concept Stores or online platforms until 17 April 2026 receive:

  • Free vivo Buds Air3 true wireless earbuds
  • Free V Selection Watch V3 smartwatch
  • 365 Days Extended Warranty (on top of standard warranty)
  • 180 Days Screen Protection
  • RM100 pre-order rebate (while stocks last)

The combined retail value of the Buds Air3 and V Selection Watch V3 accounts for the bulk of that RM1,027 figure. Whether this represents genuine value depends on whether you would have bought those accessories separately, but as launch bundles go, it is more substantial than a phone case and a screen protector.

Payment Options

vivo has arranged 0% instalment plans through four bank partners: Public Bank, OCBC, UOB, and Affin Bank. Customers who opt for a 12- or 24-month instalment plan receive an additional RM100 rebate on top of the pre-order offer, subject to terms and conditions.

Buy Now Pay Later options are also available:

  • SPayLater: 6-month 0% instalment
  • PayLater by Grab: 4-month 0% instalment

The range of payment options is wider than most phone launches at this tier, making the device accessible to buyers who prefer not to pay up front.

The ‘See the Beauty of Malaysia in 200MP’ Photo Contest

Alongside the launch, vivo Malaysia has partnered with Tourism Malaysia on a photography contest running from 20 April to 10 May 2026. The brief is to photograph Malaysia — traditional dress, cultural performances, street vendors, or portraits against iconic landmarks — and share on social media with the hashtags #vivoV70FE #200MPSoClearSoPro #vivoMalaysia #MYHiddenBeauty.

The contest is open to all smartphone users, not just vivo users, though vivo users are encouraged to enable watermarking. Multiple entries are allowed. Prizes include one vivo V70 FE handset and RM200 cash prizes for three runners-up.

The Tourism Malaysia partnership gives the contest credibility beyond a standard brand giveaway, and the open-entry format removes the usual barrier of needing a specific device to participate. The 200MP framing is clearly a vehicle to spotlight the camera, but the themes are broad enough that entries from any capable phone camera could be competitive.

See you there!

The vivo V70 FE launch package is well put together for a mid-range device. Its 200MP OIS camera is the hardware centrepiece, the RM1,027 gift bundle is genuinely sizeable, and payment flexibility reduces the friction of buying at launch.

The DOLLA roadshow on 18 April is the most time-sensitive element: if you want the live experience and guaranteed access to stock on day one, this weekend is the window. Pre-order gifts are available online and in-store until 17 April, while stocks last.
