Users can now communicate in real-time without any external applications or hassle, as it’s all contained within the same application! There’s no longer any need to switch back and forth between apps while you’re having a multi-lingual conversation over the phone, and that’s all thanks to Live Translate.

To sum up Live Translate, it’s basically like having a pocket translator that helps to translate live ongoing conversations you have over the phone. Available on the Galaxy S24 series’ Phone App, the currently supported 13 languages include:

- European languages – Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish
Live Translate will be able to broadcast the translated speech from the phone to the receiver, repeating the process for the other party's reply as well. For example, a waiter at a French restaurant might be using a landline, but there’s no need to worry, as Live Translate can read aloud the translated request in an (almost) natural delivery.
There are also options and settings on Live Translate to toggle the text-to-speech on or off, which means that you are even able to set it so that the other party does not hear you talk in your native language! It’s pretty cool to be able to have uninterrupted and seamlessly translated conversations over the phone with anyone without worrying about miscommunication.

As more and more of the Live Translate tool gets developed, more language options could be available in the future, making the possibilities of communication limitless.
