Sun & Sand Sports Unveils Grand Entrance into Malaysia with Spectacular Launch

Time to step up your sports gear, Habibi.

In a remarkable stride into Southeast Asia, GMG, the eminent family-owned conglomerate from the Middle East, proudly declares the inauguration of Sun & Sand Sports (SSS) in Malaysia. The inaugural launch, dubbed 'SSS Active Arcade,' unfolded at Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall, offering a captivating experience to fitness enthusiasts and those seeking a vibrant lifestyle.

The strategic expansion sees SSS establishing its presence in Mid Valley Megamall, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and the soon-to-be-opened TRX outlet, marking a pivotal step towards its goal of setting up 11 stores across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, in the next 36 months.

The Home of All Your Favourite Brands

Bringing Malaysians a diverse array of fitness and lifestyle products from over 21 global brands, this launch underscores SSS's commitment to reshaping how Malaysians perceive performance and well-being. The stores, strategically designed with immersive experiential zones and educational spaces, aim to create an engaging retail environment for the local community.

Jaclyn Tan Shu Ping, Vice President of Marketing & Brand for GMG Asia, expressed her excitement: "We are thrilled to bring Sun & Sand Sports to Malaysia, enriching the nation’s sporting landscape. As SSS ventures into Malaysia, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion, the brand is set to redefine the sporting landscape in the region."

Since its inception in 1979 in Dubai, UAE, SSS has been a frontrunner in promoting an energetic lifestyle, becoming synonymous with a commitment to sports excellence. With a diverse portfolio encompassing renowned sports and lifestyle brands, SSS has evolved into a haven for sports enthusiasts.

Positioning itself as a one-stop destination for Malaysia's growing sporting community, SSS stores in Malaysia offer access to quality sporting and lifestyle goods from renowned brands such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Puma, ASICS, and Under Armour. Beyond sportswear, visitors will find a diverse range of athletic equipment catering to the varied needs of all Malaysians, from seasoned athletes to fitness beginners.

SSS: Where Everyone’s a Winner

SSS's entry into Malaysia last November brought an exciting opportunity for consumers, offering the chance to win up to RM50 in vouchers with Opening Weekend Specials at each store. The journey continues with the forthcoming opening of SSS TRX, presenting another opportunity for eager patrons to snag these exclusive vouchers.

The brand's online presence, the "SSS Active Arcade" microsite, introduces characters Sarah, Sam, and Siti, representing different facets of the modern Malaysian fitness enthusiast. The site offers interactive minigames, an arcade-style leaderboard, sure-win vouchers for everyone, and special prizes for the top three players in each game.

Official Sports Partner for The Music Run

In a significant development, SSS proudly announces its role as the Official Sports Partner for The Music Run, emphasising a shared vision to inspire the younger generation to embrace an active lifestyle. This collaboration seamlessly blends the worlds of sports and music, challenging conventional notions and opening new avenues for individuals to engage in physical activities.

By merging the rhythmic beats of music with the exhilaration of sports, SSS aims to redefine wellness boundaries, encouraging a dynamic and enjoyable approach to staying fit. The collaboration with The Music Run mirrors SSS's commitment to innovative initiatives that transcend traditional norms, promoting a holistic perspective on health and well-being.
